    Most people strive to become sucessful to spite the fact that they have no degree. Myself included. I would absolutely refuse one should someone attempted to offer it to me.

    That said, being Bill Gates might be a different story. Hes got enough money to buy the damn school.

    Yeh! The company that developed my workplace's mailing solution felt the same way. Now we have a slow piece of trash web-based solution that has 1/4 the performance of our old one and doesn't even work when the server is down.

    I work for DHS and we just migrated to XP / Office 2003. It is routine for government agencies (just about all major computer systems really) to wait a LONG time before upgrading.. Everyone already knew people wouldn't mass-migrate to Vista until at least SP1 was out...

    I don't know how you wound up modded up.. that is the whole issue though. Its EASY for people to transfer from iPod to iPod and near impossible to transfer from iPod to some other mp3 player.

    I've used all 3 major engines (Yahoo!, MSN, and Google) several times. Here is what I found:

    Yahoo -> tons of annoying ads
    MSN -> tons of annoying ads
    Google -> a few text based ads

    To me it really doesn't even matter who has the "better" search engine.

    I think it depends on what you consider new content. It takes a long time for Starcraft to become repetitive, versing different players with different strategies, etc. Then there are UMS (scenarios basically) created by other players to add new content. The only arguement WoW has to support its cost is technical support and better servers. I was extremely bored of WoW after only about 5 hours play time... Maybe it's just me.

    Even half that cost is rediculous. How much of a discount do they really give you, though? I paid $40 for 7 years of Starcraft. Blizzard has really gone down hill..

    Dont you mean 0.05%? 0.5% is extremely lethal. Most people will pass out long before 0.3% BAC, luckily. I guess you'll need a friend to inject the rest.. or possibly an IV drip.

    The fuck? Its $15 a month for WoW? I thought it was $5 a month and thought they were crazy. Everyone talks about Microsoft being greedy leachers.. Most games I play for at least 2 years. 2 * 12 * 15 = 360 + 50 * 2 = $460!! Assuming you play the xpac too. What a fucking ripoff...

    You have to be an idiot to not be able to figure out how to do basic things in MS Word / Excel anyway. Anyone with ANY computer experience could easily figure out how do to the things required by low-skill jobs.

    Sure, but in this example Amazon is making the moral choice FOR their customers without authorization. To be more in line would be for you to have missed it and the waiter notices when ringing up your card and decides to add a little extra money.. Or maybe you forgot to include a tip so he just goes ahead and adds 25% to the bill without your consent.
