I find using Dvorak on smartphones and tablets to be much more comfortable and efficient. I never could touchtype Dvorak on a regular keyboard as well as I can touchtype QWERTY, but since typing on smartphones and tablets basically requires the user to hunt-and-peck, Dvorak really shines in this environment, even for someone whose brain is wired for QWERTY.
It's for persistent data mining and always-on advertising. Oh, it might not display ads at first, but c'mon, you really think that won't happen once adoption passes a saturation point?
It's compatible, but certainly not "full." There are numerous rendering problems that appear once you do anything other than the most basic editing. PowerPoint in particular is troublesome.
Back in the Vista days, I used a convertible HP tablet with a capacitive screen until the heat sink on the GPU broke loose and the entire machine roasted itself to death. But shoddy construction aside, I discovered during the time I owned it that having a touchscreen was occasionally useful as an auxiliary control device. I'd even pay a little extra for the feature as long as it didn't reduce the image quality of the screen as this HP did (because of the extra layer required).
Do I want to be forced to use a touch screen because some myopic corporate jackass found his new shiny rock ? Hell no. But sometimes it is useful for pushing submit buttons or for selecting icons and stuff.
Don't be distracted by the first shiny thing you see. Top secret invisible helicopter coincidentally clips a wall while raiding the hideout of the most wanted man in the world, yet everyone somehow survives and they all fit--let alone escape--in the remaining craft while leaving big parts of the spookybird behind for neighborhood kids to sell on eBay? I don't think so. Remember that Liberion was a key member of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing that defeated the Neuroi way back in the '40s. Since there is still a vibrant domestic Wicca community, I would not be at all surprised if witches were involved in--nay, critical to--the Osama raid. Witches don't show up on radar, you know. They're in, they're out, they're gone. Mission accomplished.
I post from future with Firebot 13.37 Beta. It consume so little RAM it actually puts some back in infernal machine. It so fast clicking Back button come with warning not to change timestream.
I post here to settle argument that apparent speed gains only due to fresh install.
You know how after each.01 release, new users always claim, " Wow! So much faster than previous version! Uses less RAM! Renders pages much faster than idiot competitor!"
Sensible person may expect diminishing gains in improvement, right? After all, can't better infinte fast, yes?
Not true! Firebot now so fast it create wormhole.
P.S. Wormhole taste like chicken. Oh no, I say too much.
Passenger pigeons must have been so delicious. Think about it.

This is a pretty good commercial.
But Orville was the first to fly.
What if perceived personal utility of the benefit to the person is also not linear?

Well, it's true.
It's compatible, but certainly not "full." There are numerous rendering problems that appear once you do anything other than the most basic editing. PowerPoint in particular is troublesome.
Well, so much for credibility.

The obvious solution is a tablet with an e-ink display on one side and a color IPS or AMOLED screen on the other.
How about y'all just watch your kids yourself? How about that?
Well played.
Urban legend.
The only thing I want is for Android to not lag. That is all.
and how am i supposed to watch blu ray's without an optical drive?
The same way you make toast, despite the fact that your PS3 doesn't have an integrated Toaster slot.
I just tried what you said but my toaster melted the disc and almost started a fire!
I use Linux as my everyday desktop because I am too much of a control freak to use anything else. This is also why I don't use Gnome.
Should call it Smarch instead of Xtr.

Striking parallels here to AOL users who still felt content to use the AOL-only Internet in 2001.
> We are still fracking talking about this? Please.
We'll keep talking about it as long as it still matters. Maybe it doesn't matter to you, but it still matters.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think this is CGI? My first thought was Photoshop!
I guess real life looks less real to me than special effects these days.
I thought it was claymation at first.
Windows 2000 is the best operating system Microsoft ever made. She is a dependable woman.
