Man, I had mod points YESTERDAY... but parent is right. That IP may have been dynamically assigned to you the first time you used the service and has never changed. Just because it doesn't change now doesn't mean they won't change it to some other DHCP settings later if they need to, which *may* change your IP. For example, I have Cox here in Tulsa, my IP rarely changes, but to ENSURE it never changes, no matter what, I have to pay like about another $15-$20 a month.
Hello??? HARLAN ELLISON! He totally owns everyone in the raging-prick-ego-maniac dept; Gabe had a small victory... but Harlan is still the world's biggest dick.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend this game for a young audience... ok, *maybe* teenagers (the humor is really too dark over the course of the game, ultimately). I still heartily recommend it myself, just finished playing this weekend and was impressed. The graphics AREN'T that detailed, but certainly has a awesomely unique style. This game, of course, IMNSHO, is not for everyone, but has a bigger potential demographic than at first seems.
like for example, Kingdom Hearts 2, not necessarily it is the best game in the world (I enjoyed it however), but there was always a way to skip any cutscene: Press start, and confirm the skip (also, that provided a way to pause cutscenes without having to skip them - esp. long ones, which this game had).
Yeah, that is exactly right.... and I rarely play a lot of online games, and *I* even knew this!:) (note: I do use Steam to purchase games in general, however)
and even after hosting/bandwidth fees and site maintenance, they are probably still making more $$ per sale than they would have with a traditional record deal
I agree... as a fan of Super Metroid (and used to speed run is regularly), I was VERY skeptical of Prime. While it is NOT the same, the feel is certainly Metroid and was loads of fun to play. Also, kudos to Retro for not giving in to excessive Samus eye-candy at the very end (of the first game anyways), it was totally tasteful and believeable and just right.
BA: "MMMmmrrr. BA ain't getting on no plane!"
Face: "BA.... Have some milk"
BA: "Mmmm, I like milk. Milk good for the body. MMMM" *chugs milk*
*thud*
Hannibal: "Ok, Murdock and Face, load him on the place, we'll be in Venezuela in 8 hours..."
man... it's like impossible to do that in bioshock in many places, just no room to do so. i have to be creative on hiding, taking pot shots, making a run to another area and ready up the next weapon or plasmid:)
I play what I consider a lot of games, lots of late nights, late to bed before a work day.... so yeah, I do play late, but NOT THREE DAYS late, i mean, wow, how does one do that???
It is a matter of resource availablity
Do you want to pay the costs of adding extra staff, time, & money at the ESRB to do:
- game installation
- software/hardware support (just in case games have trouble running underneath the ESRB's setup)
- and then the time to PROPERLY play through what needs to be played through to get the rating
also, the staff would have to be decent enough game players at some of these games to get through the appropriate parts to rate
plus, some of the critical content to rate is not later int he game, do not want to force developer to further pigenhole the degien to cater to the ESRB players or force the dev team to make a special demo just for the ESRB to play.
i mean, yeah, it is doable... but the extra cost would be handed down to the consumers, and games are expensive enough already. Not "hard" at all, if you want to pay for it, sheesh....:)
Yeah, I have the Dreamcast version laying around somewhere... while almost identically graphically to the GC version, somehow, the sound on the DC version is far superior (i think the music on the GC version was done differently that caused that... I hope the don't do that to the XBLA version).
While the game itself is actually fairly short, the replay comes into trying to find a way to beat it on one credit and to get the ultra high chain counts... and that part is HARD! As far as a shooter goes, I totally recommend it, it is very challenging, and the soundtrack is pretty awesome (in my opinion).
Yeah, Peggle Deluxe was (and still is, to a degree - trying to get the final trophy) suprisingly addictive... the whole "EXTREME FEVER" and "Ode to Joy" thrown in your face at the end of each level was so ridiculously over-the-top I literally laughed my ass the first time I witnessed it.
...found out i was playing it a lot like i did system shock 2. creep around corners. check every nook and cranny for items. horde crap. on easy mode, there is too much stuff and not enough need of resourcea use to be a problem. on medium, that evens out. on hard, dunno, disabled on the pc demo.
i will say it ran pretty decently on a E6400 (2.13GHz per core), with 2GB ram, 7900GS vid card (my only possible stumbing block for a full graphic experience), 1440x900 reso, on XP. a few frame skip issues here and there, but nothing drastic that made it unplayable.

Please, if he is now writing MANUALS we are all DOOMED!

You think the "3" in "Rush Hour 3" gave that away??

Hell, I am in no way a Sony fanboy in the least, and even *I* know Ratchet and Clank is FINE gaming - Insomniac is a jewel in the rough
Check out the video below the character info on that page link to smash bros. site, it show's sonic's moves pretty well, and decently utilized

no mod points :( because you just got +5 from me... at least in my mind

Question is if they will write it themself or if they are waiting for somebody else to do the hard work so they can buy it.
wait a minute.... that's Microsoft!!
I dunno.... most of the nerds I have ever known never fell for that. Then again, I have known a lot of cynical and bitter people over the years....

however, this proclamation *is* rather ridiculous :)

Ahh, I already have Deluxe (which is why I asked), but, the way you described it makes it less note-worthy to me
... where can I get Peggle Extreme *independently* ??
That was 5 years ago (an eon in technology time) - I imagine their tools are far more advanced and easier to use now
