    Gentlemen please,

You can call Microsoft yourself by calling the activation line, skipping the automated prompt and going to a live representative. Give them your sob story and unless it is a serial that is known as pirated they'll give it to you again and again. Just don't tell them you're installing it on more than 1 machine.

How do I know this? I've done it a few times now. If you're legit but the internet and automatic system says your not, talk to a representative they'll figure it out.

I think the separation between Mac and PC you are ranting about has a history beyond /.

He said they only appeal to Windows market: there are Linux boxes (especially with non-profit groups who recycle older PCs and give them to families who can afford all the bells and whistles of a new machine. A few other outsiders and people using Mac OS who have G5 G4 laptops and PCs surfing the net too.

Is this company going to suffer greatly because of it? Maybe not. But it would have made more sense to talk about then what you mentioned. Maybe this neat little flash will help:

Most of that stolen work you refer to is for hobbyist who don't make millions on a track, therefore you don't notice it as much. People experience and test the world in a lot of ways and share that information. Information, not faith, is what I put my trust in. Doesn't mean I accept everything I see and hear whether from a film or a book translated and written without first hand information.

The only 'hole' is while I would be driving. So really, I just need the regular cell plan.

Also, as the amount of devices like this increase we should see some drop in price. iPhone does look to piece together things the Treo, and Sidekick 3(huge with the deaf culture) have missed. Which are the only Devices I would consider buying outside a regular cell.

I noticed a few people talking about scientist just wanting funding. Okay--Scientists are not meant to have an agenda or any byass thoughts. They do experiments and studies and present the data. What people do with that data is their own agenda.
