    You kidding? I could do some serious throat slashing with a severed plastic bottle! Not to mention they store more easily. You can crunch it up into a bag! People will kill other people with papercuts. Banning things isn't going to help.

    I'm no fan at all of the UK surveillance 'state', but I will say that to say it's not prevented anything or saved any lives is ludicrous. Of course it has. Try removing them and see what happens. And two bad apples in the ambulance service doesn't mean it's a stinging rotten core. I can think of two dicks within the company I work for. Doesn't make it a bad company. The UK's healthcare system is fine. If it wasn't for twats going there with colds and sniffles, which the UK spends far far too much time and money on, it would be a lot better. Quit reading your Daily Mail.

    Ditto to this. Aside from the evil Windows non-shutdown which more or less means you have to reboot and shutdown again, the whole process just takes far too long. Hibernation is the fastest way to shutdown too! From clicking to system off it's usually about 10 seconds maximum.

    Call me nitpicky, but on a fairly recent Ubuntu version, when i was trying it, I had to go through so many many hoops to get it to use the WPA on my network that it just made me chuck it. It does work now, straight, but back then it was enough to put me off.

    All these people whining about speed. It's down to really small amounts now, does it really matter that much? Also, does Opera have quite the same userbase and community when it comes to extensions or plugins, which most people get Firefox for. *cricket* *cricket* No, I didn't think so. Adblock?     Everything on this planet is based on conflict. Animals fight with each other and kill each other. Bacteria fight with each other and kill each other. Plants overcrowd neighbours and kill each other. Just by our own sample set it seems logical to deduce that everything in the *universe* is based on conflict. In an anarchistic universe someone is going to want to take power!
