more like intel payed HP to put there drivers on to all systems in way that MS says they do not support. HP needs to step up and pay for peoples down time and the cost of having a tech come out and fix it. This may even need to come down to a class action law suit.
make the head line say HP systems useing a unsupported by MS driver setup / image load crash under SP3.
They need a MID-range HEAD LESS DESKTOP and cross fire drivers as the mac pro has 2 pci-e x16 2.0 slots and cross fire works in windows on the mac pro.
Imacs are better but still have poor build in screen and come with laptop ram that does have the beast timeing.
The imacs don't look that good next to other x86 pc systems at lower prices and the mac pro is over the top.
The mini is a POS and video in sucks for gameing.
$1,799.00 + $150 NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS w/512MB GDDR3 and you still only have 2gb or ram
or
$2,199.00 and you still only have 2gb or ram
Mac Pro
$2,799.00 + $150 NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB and you still only have 2gb or ram
or
$2,799.00 - $500 to drop a cpu + $150 NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB and you still only have 2gb or ram
A good head less desktop starting at $500 - $700 and going up to $2100 with maybe having a few BTO systems with dual video cards at the high end will be a good fit and let them use lower cost DDR2 ram that also has good times as well. With a system with a fast dual or quad core desktop cpu with mid to high end video card and 2-4gb of ram comping in at $1000-$1500.
The FB-DIMMS in the mac pro are not that good for gameing and cost a lot more.
Just wait for even more users get off dial up when get to 99% of the us being able to get high speed internet then you will likely see a lot of more of this.

And a lot of corporate users are on mid towers they also like to reuse displays from older systems and like to swap out hard disks / not have to send them off to have them replaced. The imac / mini are not that easy to be opened up and you can void the warranty by doing so. They also don't have send off a hard disk with data on it. HP and others let's you keep the bad hard disk and get a new one.
also the mini is not a good buy next to other systems at the same price and the mac pro is over kill for most users. AIO do not fit in to corporate use of systems and other AIO out there make it a lot easier to swap out HDD's as well.
A good $700-$2100 mid tower will be a nice fit in a corporate setting.
There laptops can use some work as well like an 15" screen at $1200-$1900 not $2000 and up.

Rename the topic to say INTEL drivers on HP AMD systems is the cause.
The topic you have makes AMD look bad.
Why is HP useing the same basic image for there amd and intel systems?
What other driver bloat is in OEM systems?
Is INTEL coding there drivers to mess up AMD systems?
AMD legal should take a look at this.
I have SP3 running on my AMD right now and it's works 100%
The stargate DHD code is very old but it auto updates it self.

Will you cable box data traffic be part of the cap?
Will you be paying for the ARP traffic?
Will they have a plan that slows your speed down when you hit the cap like ISP in australia do?
Will there be cap free sites / downloads?

Also at $1500 you should be getting a video card with it's own ram.
it's to bad with apple laptops that you need to $2000 just to get a 15" screen and a real video card.
