For most people, the Wiki wouldn't need to fit ON the phone... it has built in WiFi and Safari. The only thing it doesn't come with is a nice cover with the big, friendly words "DON'T PANIC!" on it.
This reminds me of something I saw on the Man Show oh-so long ago. It was a fake commercial for a post-mortem "clean up" service. After you die, they swing in through your windows like the SWAT team, pick up your pR0n, your dirty toys, your geeky toys, and your bong, and replace them with family photos and bibles. Cut to Adam Corolla's parents picking a book up from the coffee table... "Ahhh.... Adam's bible."
Two of the real strengths of PC gaming are online play and user created content. We are going to start seeing that on consoles this generation. That's a far bigger threat to PC gaming than Vista.
Actually, the XBox had both of those things LAST generation. Granted, they're only getting stronger and more prevalent, but several XBox games supported user-created levels and made them accessible in online play.
Well, personally, I have an iPod mini and I love it, but I'm far from being a fanboy. SanDisk makes a very nice flash based player with a beautiful, albeit small, color screen. Everything I've seen from Creative has been pretty nice, although they want more for their products than their Apple equivalents cost. My only piece of solid advice would be to stay away from the Zune. I've played with one, and the interface was clunky to say the least, not to mention the thing weighs exactly 800 pounds. Plus, the battery life is very weak on the Zunes.
Just curious, what rantings and ravings have turned you away from the iPod? You don't HAVE to use the iTunes store. I certainly don't, and won't buy DRM'd music. Any mp3 ripped from your collection or acquired in less savory ways plays just as well on the iPod.
My theory (well, not mine, but one I've taken a liking to) is that McGonagall is Voldemort's spy in Hogwarts. Reread them, she never does a SINGLE thing to help, and often flubs important jobs- Barty Crouch gets away in GoF, for example.
It didn't used to be that way on Myspace, but now if you change your password or sign up for a new account, Myspace will force you to use at least an alphanumeric password. So maybe this should be a comparison of corporate IT vs. Myspace IT??
MOD PARENT UP for knowledge of ancient theories both sound and wildly overblown. I, myself love von Daaniken, but can't bring myself to take it too seriously.
Any DJ that would take a tremendous leap backward like this should be stripped of his PA and his pseudonym. It would be like Eric Clapton trading his guitars for a copy of Guitar Hero 2.
Nintendo has always made durable, high quality products, with the exception of the original NES. Even in that extreme case, it was only the connectors that the cartridge locked into that would go bad, and for a few dollars you can get a new set online. However, I've seen Nintendo systems thrown out of windows, ones with big holes in the top from a chair leg or some other misfortune, etc., and most of them still performed admirably.
Yes, from what I understand, humans and other creatures run on sort of a "sleep deficit", where if need be, you can stay active on less sleep, drawing on "sleep reserves". This adds more credence to my theory, "You can't give yourself energy, you're just borrowing it from the future."
Actually, I met my current girlfriend off of myspace. We've been together almost 3 years now, so it would seem that it's been fairly successful. The only advice I'd give people meeting from online is to do so in a very public place before you go giving out your address or taking people to your help.
Just my 2 cp.
I'd almost forgotten about MS Bob... I remember hearing about security problems about a week after it was released, which was amazing considering I didn't have internet access at that point. Can any of Redmond's newer failures ever measure up to the travesty that was BOB?
"Taking with that same theme, the soundtrack featured a sizable amount of death metal, including an anachronistic appearance by a Godsmack song."
If Godsmack is the submitter's idea of death metal, then there are lots of things in my music collection that would break their mind.
Wow, it's time to start calling all those girls that wouldn't go out with me in High School and College. Then, when my girlfriend complains, I'm gonna claim prior commitments. "Sorry baby, I had no idea never was coming so soon."
Just because you can, doesn't mean you SHOULD. While a CD turntable is cool for spinning tracks you've produced on your computer, they're too automated for my tastes. Auto BPM calculation, auto beat matching, cue points... it kind of takes the TALENT out of being a DJ.
... it's just that kids are finally figuring out what DJ's already knew... records sound better than cd's and mp3's. It's the physical response of the medium, the warmth of the needle moving with the grooves, as opposed to the cold laser scanning data. Plus, analog media capture a much higher range of supertones and subtones beyond the human range of hearing, which nonetheless change and enhance those sounds that are within our range of hearing.

While that's true, it's still TWICE the expected lifespan of a Windows XP install.
I believe you misspelled "Roger" and "Shrubber".

... would this count as LOS (line of sight) for purposes of targeting a spell? It could get dangerous.

You're a dirty liar. You ARE on slashdot, aren't you? Model girlfriend? Only if that model is hand painted and made from resin.

It would only work if they're bluetooth enabled... it'd make cybersex almost worth it.

But, it's a blog! He doesn't have to be able to WRITE, that would be insane!
So what? I built a computer that's COVERED in DNA.

But how many will be as complex and soulless as music by, say, Yngwie Malmsteen?

You've embiggened the Wikipedia with your cromulent entry.
