I've heard this book Brazil mentioned a few times on Slashdot, and i would like to read it.
Who is it by? a google search has brought up a bunch of crap that is irrelevant.
"no way the students will be able to do state-of-the-art desktop publishing and film editing using linux"

much of the editing for the movies "Lord of the Rings" and "Spiderman" as well as tons of other movies used linux.
i would reccomend one of the following languages
BASIC
C
PASCAL
those are all great starting languages
VB is a horrible language for learning, it will cause bad programming practices
ok, java sucks, (it compiles to VM code, not native code).
this is the same reason why C# sucks
C++ is by far my fav language.
also, out of all the new programming languages, the only one that is any good is D, see why at http://digitalmars.com/d/comparison.html
dude, one special difference between the amd chips and the intel chips is in the field of 64-bit processors.
amd 64 bit processors can run 32-bit and 64-bit calculations side by side.
intel itanium 64 bit processors must handle 32-bit calculations through emulation.
from what i've seen, AMD dominates the 64-bit processor market.
also, let me say one last thing: intel is a lot like ATI, it sucks
why pay when you can just use TOR?

nVidia has always given me WAY less problems than ATI. I hate my 9800XT with a PASSION. Their linux support is absolutely shoddy.
ONLY ONE BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!

i think there's a gaim plugin for that
i remember when i was on the YTMND irc channel and some guy posted a link to a text file with 3k myspace logins. good times
i'm using a firefox 3.0 nightly build, and i love it
http://dailymotion.com/ it's filled to the brim with episodes of tv shows that it's users have uploaded
it's because the switch to 64-bit isn't happening very fast, you can't track memory addresses above 4294967295 with a 32-bit pointer
yeah bblean is great, and it works well with multiple monitors
does the hardware really matter very much if it's fun & fresh? also, you forgot about R&D costs
Lol that's what i was thinking
i remember when somebody on the ytmnd irc channel passed out a list of 45 thousand myspace accounts+passwords
what no ti-89T support? lame
NO HALFLIFE MOVIE
lame, HL would make a coo movie

filefront.com has free unlimited file storage, i've used it for a long time and like it very much. but GDrive sounds hawt cause shell integration :)
