    Given the fact we would create em with the purpose of serving the humans, "human orders" would quickly became some sort of asset, and most likely they would put the humans in a matrix like system to better serve em.

    Modern GPUs can do nice things like texture libraries and very configurable shaders as the if statements aren't the pain they used to be on 360/PS3.

    The eletronic machines would not have it if they used actual physical buttons.
    They would not have this issue if the program was on a ROM chip.
    Not a problem if the voting machines had a internal encrypted flash memory.
    No glitch if used the two first on this list
    And that could be solved by software as well.

    But for some reason diebold think that they should do all this stupid flashy show instead of actually designing something actually reliable and safe.

    It's mostly due some girls that aren't actually into games and just use it to get "nerdycred", but don't actually play anything considered worthy or are actually interested in getting good.
    And the same happens to male "gamers".
    Both are generally called several things like "casual gamers", "call of duty audience", "TBBT public" etc..

    Of course, several girls that are actually interested in games get caught in the crossfire.

    Not all FPSs are going this path, but there is this "Call of duty audience" that consists in all those guys playing call of duty online that is like some sort of goose that lays golden eggs that they're chasing, and they do those games assuming that you're one of em.

    Anyway, stop playing heavily marketed FPSs if you want a good single player experience.

    As far i'm aware since the pentium pro line, the intel CPUs are RISCs with translation layers and AMD been on this boat since the original athlon.

    I personally prefer the NTSC filters over those hqx filters because it breaks the "blockyness" without creating weird "vectorlike" artifacts, also it looks more authentic.

    You most likely can use a raspi to generate an snes compliant snes framebuffer and copy it with the snes DMA just like the super FX chip does.
    But you will be limited to 20 fps due being all you can copy during the vblank period.

    It will take over every single other machine on the planet, from cars to celphones, to pace makers, to microwaves to game consoles to everything.. except the desktop.
    Even 100 years from now, when the linux powered skynet coordinate the uclinux 6502 powered terminators to finish off the last of the human resistance, those terminators will still use windows on their desktop computers.

    I seen some places fall apart due the userbase corrupting the moderation with their own visions of "troll" and "wrong", and turning the site into pretty much a dystopian place full of rules, where you could be banned for a simple misspell or disagreeing with the mass.
    This may sound like "the ideal place" at first, but the harsh limits make the place very boring very quickly.

    The ideal scenario is a place where trolling don't work, the ol good "don't feed the trolls", or a place that ridicularize em effectively when just ignoring don't work anymore.

    Then how the "Non IBM"-PC worked at all?
    It was exactly a "bunch of random companies schlocking together COTS hardware to meet a standard and getting nothing in return" competing against closed boxes like the Amiga, ST,mac... and while they didn't as far i know used Subsidy, they were pretty much fully verticalized companies that had no way to compete against in price at least at the beginning.

    A more modern example would be the Android, where its again a bunch of chinese manufacturers following an standard and having no subsidy whatsoever.
