Googles' own documents recommend that you should use asynchronous tracking which should cause no page slowdowns, and even if you use the traditional code it should be at the at the end just before the closing body tag.

If a page is loading slowly because of google-analytics, blame the web site developer.

Because um.. well lets see.. From the Fine Article:

We've just received Assassin's Creed 2 and Settlers VII for review, and verified with Ubisoft that the DRM is the same as the boxed product.

But i guess actually reading anything is beyond expectation for an AC.

    Secondly, from Ubisoft's own FAQ.

Is there an "off-line" option? No. The added services to the game (unlimited installs, online storage of saved games and the fact that you don’t need the game disc to play) require you to have an online connection while playing the game.

It really depends on the state. In the Australian Capital Territory for example it's illegal to even posses RC content.

See Part 10: Division 1 and Division 2: Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Act 1995

Whereas in Queensland, they have different legislation (see section 26). It's only illegal if you intend to sell or make an RC game or it has child abuse in it, otherwise you can do what you want with your RC game

There is not a car on the road today that doesn't have higher power brakes than engine. The ratio is beyond ridiculous for smaller cars... my little ancient saturn accelerates at barely 120 HP yet brakes at something near 600 HP.

    http://blogs.consumerreports.org/cars/2009/10/toyota-recall-putting-stuck-floor-mat-survival-strategies-to-the-test.html

This time we accelerated to 60 mph before we slammed on the brakes. Again, the engines downshifted and fought us all the way down. But by the time we slowed down to about 10 mph, the brakes had faded so much that we weren’t able to come to a complete stop. If the driver had less strength or was traveling at higher speeds, they would not be able to slow down nearly as much.

Reminds me of that movie, The Siege where the commander warns them not to send in the military to catch the terrorists.
