I knew who shot Mr. Burn before most people so I just spread the information. If only I had net access back then I would have posted it everywhere and ruined a lot of peoples fun.
I still watch these shows fron time to time but I've never thought of selling them or makin a proffit off it, sounds like fun though.
These guys don't have any buisness being in the news industry, this isn't based on facts but oppinions, it is based on the oppinion of the author and he barely took time to do research on the subject. The fact that he dosn't know anything about the shows he is writing about shows that. In Batman Beyond he chokes a person unconcious, not dead, and yet they didn't even made a big deal about an eppisode where he was thought to kill someone.
Anime will be around for a while because after the cool kids like it and find out the geeks started it they will move on but hopefully the geeks will stay on board, I know I will.
Not all anime is Pokémon and people need to realize that, if you watch something like Ninja Scroll or Wicked City and think they are for the same audience that Pokémon is then you need your head examined.
The same types of ballets were used in Wisconsin and they noticed the votes for Buchanan were too high and figured out there were people getting confused when they were voting. The difference is Gore still Won in that state but Bush could call for a recount if he choses.
I myself think Gore should win because there is no doubt he has the popular vote. I don't think we will be getting rid of the electoral college any time soon but hopefully we will do like some states have and have proportional votes given where if bush gets 50%-1 and Gore gets 50%+1 they would split the electoral votes between them.
"have their heart turn dark as a result of being on the Internet, and walk in and decide to take somebody else's life."
Now I am not a psychiatrist but I do play a lot of violent games, watch a lot of violent media and play on the internet a little too mutch but I have yet to have a "dark heart" or "decide to take somebody else's life."
I have been playing games and have been associating with people who play games for a long time and none of us are violent, psychotic, or in any way mentaly desturbed. We will one day become the leaders of the nation and if people don't realize that media violence poses no danger today then they will have to when we become the rule makers and decensy judges.
Sory for the rant, but I hate it when closed minded individuals think this sort of thing.
DBZ has been in reruns for far too long, I am happy to see that CN has purchased the rest of the series so I can watch with utter joy,
And yes I know that it will be horibly cut and the voices are crap but It's the only why I can see it. Before you start telling me to go buy the dubed uncut version let me tell you something, that is too damn expensive!! I get uncut versions of movies because that is a one time thing, can you imagine how mutch it would cost to get the entire DBZ series. I am in college so I don't have that kind of dough to spend on anime.
Yay, But as for CN, they don't seem to have that mutch good stuff. The DBZ they show is butured compared to the original, Tenchi in Tokyo is the worst of the series, and the other stuff they have on is not revelutionary or anything.
Sorry for complaining, I will still watch all of it(especialy DBZ) because we need to suport out anime on TV so that maby someday CN will make an anime network, that and it is still better than most any american cartoon crap on ABC or dizney.

I agree completely. My sister used to think that cartoons were only for little kids untill the day I showed her Ninja Scroll. I have been a fan of anime for many years and have been trying to convince other less enlightened people that is was worth checking out for a while. The sad thing is that it was the nudity in the movie that made her think differently, not the story or the great battles. I am still trying to get her to sit down and watch akira with me because that is still my favorite movie.
I am 20 and can buy any video or game and see any movie I wish. Other people are not so lucky so I do what I can to help out. I will buy a violent video game for my 12 year old brother. I let him watch South Park with me and I took him to see Scary Movie. A person could call him my science project, if he grows up to be a psycho or goes on a shooting spree then I will be convinced volent media effects children. Untill then I will treat him as a person instead of a kid who can't understand what is good for him.
That is my main complaint about limiting access to children, we assume none of them are smart enough to make there own decissions. My brother is normal so far and if he stays that way I may be able to make an argument againts this type of thing.
Yup, anime chicks rock. I think the attraction is along the same lines a Laura Croft. And those soft porno anime (Goku Midnight Eye, Wicked City, ect...) are good enough to make people think twice about thinking of anime as just a cartoon.
Especialy that cute little Rio-oh-ki but what is done to these anime on Cartoon Network is a shame, DBZ has become a Joke because of over censorship, The Netork never lets the viewers know that Sailor Moons new friends are actualy lesbians and now Tenchi will be censored. I agree that Censored anime is better than no anime and wish that if CN did make an anime network they wouldn't try to market it only to kids, that way they could show more uncut shows. At least with Gundam W they did it right.
Everyone is geting so upset with napster but are forgeting about downloading music off the internet. I don't even use napster (nothing against it, it just eats up too mutch bandwith that I use for other things) All my Mp3's (all legal of course) were obtainded from websites, the most recent of which is Mp3raid.com where I can find most songs I want. Napster is good for finding Mp3's but you can probably find any song on Napster on the internet somewhere.
Only after reading this did I realize that I use technology for leisure time and I have done it so mutch that working while at home is thought of as relaxing simply because I am not physicaly at work.
I have just finished my first year of college as a Computer Science Major and have a good understaning of C++. My plan in another 3 years when I graduate is to,hopefully, work on operating systems like Linux. My objectives will probably change over the next few years but another hope is to design Open Source software in my free time to be distributed freely over the net.
Is my goal too ambitious or not realistic enough, or is it a good goal to strive for.
I Hope You didn't submit this from work, otherwise they could know how you feel and fire you for some made up charge. Or Not, Besided your a Geek Right Your smarter than that.
Whenever I boot my computer I turn it on and leave the room to get a snack untill it finishes loading. Unless the ads make my computer start making noises to get my atention I would never notice them
How can they so sutch a thing. To deny a man the freedom to do what he loves is bad enough but to deny him the freedom to even talk about what he loves is more cruel and unusual than sticking bambo shards under his finger nails.
I can't see how or why they would do this other than to prevent him from telling someone else how he did it. The only other thing they could posibly do (since they can't monitor his thoughts) would be to prevent him from even seeing anything having to do with technology. This would mean no TV, radio, car, microwave, or anything else that has come about through technological inovations.
The Guiny Pig Carries The Ebola virus, if you play with it while it is sleeping it will wake up and bite your sim and they will get sick and die.
It fits in perfectly with our house that has the people locked up in the attic with no food, no bathroom, and no way out. We let them starve to death and call it a documentary.
Yesterday I spent most of the day going on a killing spree in Goldeneye (I am waiting eagerly for Perfect Dark). I have been playing violent games since they were invented. On Friday I watched Akira. I enjoy anime and other forms of violent media. I am an antisocial geek.
Conclusion: I am a threat to society and am likely to go on a killing spree and take out half of my college.
I have conducted my own study of myself and my family and friends. In my study I found that 1. I am closer to the people that I have fraged or have been fraged by. 2. All of us have been playing violent games for an extended period of time and none of us have thought to hurt someone else. 3. Video games remove agression- by letting you destroy things in the virtual world you get out your aggressions and don't feel the need to destroy things in the real world. 4. Games don't train you to be a beter shot(none of us can shoot straight).
on top of all this I have found that even though games can be violent they are no more violent than NEWS reports or anything else in real life.
A little reminder, the century dosn't start untill 2001. Ok you probably knew this and just miss typed it but if this were truly for "last century" I might include something old that probably made some lasting effect on us that no one remembers. Oh and for this century I would say the microchip, sice the internet isn't realy an invention I just use microship as a default.
One of the best hacks was when DVD encryption was cracked. Anything that allows me to watch The Matrix on my Linux machine is worthy of being known as a good hack. Or maby this is more of a crack??
I am sure if you were flexible enough you could find some way of sitting comfortably and still getting your light source properly located.
I still watch these shows fron time to time but I've never thought of selling them or makin a proffit off it, sounds like fun though.

Maby this way I could have one less anoying IM program runing on my computer because MS IM can use AOL IM Like they did in the first place.

Linux on windows. Wont that blow up our computer or something?
