I thought all this means is that you can entangle two particles when they are close. Basically this means all you know is one is + and one is -. Then if you separate them and measure one you know what the other one is. That doesn't seem so spooky.
Why would Libertarians oppose this? Most oppose Intellectual Monopoly laws. Now if you had a contract with a publisher that you wouldn't republish I guess that could hurt your reputation but there shouldn't be anything illegal about it.
I got a test from Labcorp via one of those shady online doctors. They price was cheaper than my copay if I used my insurance. Apparently the negotiated cash discount is huge.
What the author doesn't understand is that what she says taxis need to be is not accurate. Everything comes at a price. The beauty of a free market is it will tell you how much people are willing to pay for accessibility, predictability, uniformity, cleanliness, fuel efficiency, trustworthiness, and availability. There is absolutely no way for a monopoly taxi service to know these things. There is no feedback to help them adjust. Even Uber can't know these things. It is a process of discovery that needs to be constantly adjusted in a free market.
It's a trade-off. While the price might not be known until it is booked what becomes predictable and uniform is the availability of a ride. Like all price controlled good taxi's become impossible to find when you really want them.
From what I remember that was a pretty low frequency shaker looking for modes that would have an impact on the control system. It couldn't simulate the launch environment. But this is a good example of the mentality. You test what you can at a reasonable cost but eventually the tests get more expensive and time consuming than a few test flights.
I work at KSC and here is the issue. Sometime just creating the relevant environment is more expensive then just having a test flight. For example to simulate the aerodynamic and vibration loads on a rocket stage are near impossible. We will shake the avionics or even whole spacecraft. But nobody has a shaker big enough for a whole stage so you need to test it in flight. And for example on the Saturn V are you just going to test the first stage? Then you need to simulate the rest of the vehicle weight, cg, and aerodynamic loads. At that point its just easier to use the second and third stage.
The effect on the economy was only for a short period and we are reaping the costs now in the US. First came the Baby Boom of the 50's then the Pill in the 60's and women entering workforce in the 80's. All of those were huge booms to the economy because more people working less receiving benefits. Now those people are retiring and haven't had enough children to pay for all of the benefits they vote for themselves. So now we are in a decade long depression.
Those preserving techniques provided major sources of nutrients. Sauerkraut (and other fermented vegetables) has lots of Vitamin A, C, B-6, K as byproducts of the fermentation.
You are correct in general. I'm operating under the assumption that worrying about being offended by a.bro extension is ridiculous. What I wrote is similar to the First World Problem meme. You only tend to worry about little annoyances when the big ones are taken care of.
Think about it for a second. Things are so great for women in the western world that this is what generates complaints. When the complaints are I get hit with rocks trying to go to school, or they cut off my clitoris then you know you are living in a hell hole. Those women don't have time to worry about.bro extensions. When it gets down to the only complaints being file extensions it's means thing are pretty damn good.
On the other hand courts are very anti defendant. I was on a jury where it was a she said / she said. None of the testimony from the witnesses matched. The prosecuter presented evidence showing the defendant had a couple prior felonies which was convincing to the other jurors. I asked the judge what the prints were for and when since she looked like she was in her 40's. The judge said we couldn't have that information. It was an aggravated assault and assault charge. We also weren't allowed to know what the potential sentence was.
I tried to convince everyone to vote not guilty on all accounts because it wasn't clear at all what happened except the plaintiff had a knot on her head. But because of the priors the best I could do was get plain assault. She was a black women so I had to weigh hanging the jury and a retrial which most likely wouldn't have someone like me on it.
So we found her guilty of simple assault. Turned out the priors were non violent check fraud 20 years ago. But she was sentenced for 10 years. Nobody in that jury room though she would get that kind of sentence. And all of them thought her priors had to be for violent crimes.
As a mechanical engineer this is pretty simple. The efficiency of an engine is related to the temperature difference. To get higher efficiency in a diesel you need higher compression. The problem is at high temperature you get NOx formation. There is nothing wrong with the mechanical design. They are near what is possible with thermodynamics. Im sure the ME's reported to the bosses if you want this efficiency and power you won't meet the emissions. Someone higher up made the call to cheat.
Violating a contract isn't a violation of the NAP.

Programming languages exist because natural languages are ambiguous. This is why the whole legal profession exists.
You can be sure anytime employees want more people in a field it means they want to reduce labor costs.

We should be completely safe now that we got rid of freedom.

Agree. I'm writing this on a 12 year old laptop running Linux Mint. But if you are tired of being IT get a mac. Money well spent.

Why not both? KSP is awesome!

What's the difference between the state and the mafia? The mafia actually wants your business to do well so they can get their cut.
Which Somalia? The one the socialists completely destroyed or the parts that are slowly getting better under anarchy?

When you have the ability to create your own money by entering into a computer you have the resources to do it relatively quickly.
I think he's learned his lesson.

This is why Jury Nullification is so important. Of course that's why many of these laws will be enforced without a trial.
