    Uhh led lights are dimmable... without flickering and all that... But they are just not bright enough atm to be worth anything.

    Oh wow this is a pretty big step. Dogs have 39 chromosome pairs whereas humans have a measly 23. So its quite the feat or so scientists boast. I remember seeing a documentary explaining we'd be waiting a looong time before dog cloning because of this. Sheeps by comparison have 27.

    500km? A honda civic gets about that i'm sure people will be willing to give up SOMETHING. You described exactly a honda civic with a bit more range, the ability to charge at home and much lower cost to drive around. I'm sure people will be willing to spend more or give up some range. Generally people don't need to go from Toronto to Philly in on go without a stop.

    Thats amazingly short sighted. Do you think the drop in gas prices will stay that way forever? I'm amazed on the stats for SUV sales in the US. They vary in lock step with that weeks gas prices as if it mattered.
     
    Oh and the shelby has 150mile range just so you know.

    CFCs were much worse and HORRIBLE for the environment, it really would have cooked us to death. Thats why they were phased out across the globe in 1994, we'd have been seriously screwed had we not. Same idea goes for CO2, it is just less obvious.

    Even so there are more elegant ways of doing this. Or at least it is a terrible reason to save incandescent bulbs. Plus using TUBES as a reason to save lightbulbs struck me as so ridiculous I posted kind of blindly. Who would argue that we need to keep one useless outdated tech so that we can use it as a diagnostic tool for tech that has been useless for many decades. The whole thing SHOUTED crazy audiophile. I'm sure they'll fight that 1s and 0s deliver lower quality sound and w/e else audiophiles say. (5000$ cables anyone?)

    This is silly, we ARE entering a cooling period. The scientists are freaking out because its only cooled a very tiny bit. Thats because global warming is negating the effects. When we enter a warming period what do you think will happen? Man you are going to be really embarrassed in 30years when you read the news that another city is getting reclaimed by the ocean.

    I never understood the purpose of this. If it is for children then what is the rational behind it? If it is just to help children differentiate from real-life traumas then I advocate the extra-blood option. It is not likely someone will get fragged and it rain blood for two minutes irl. Either way the whole idea is silly. Like showing kids a movie with someone being tortured and censoring the cuts. It doesn't affect anything.

    I think the gov should blatantly rip off the deathandtaxes website for their actual budget as well. Why stop at having super oversight of just the recovery money? This would work brilliantly for the budget as well.
