This just in. In light of the new discovery of Da Vinci's musical painting. Mel Gibson has announced he is working on a musical broadway version of "The Passion of the Christ"
You could get VHS products cheaper because manufacturers could make them cheaper without forking out to Sony. This is a classic example of people/companies failing to learn from their mistakes. This is what made Beta a bust despite being the superior format
Problem Sony had was they expected the PS3 was going to be the "must have product" of the decade and crush Microsoft and Nintendo, which would increase demand for Blu-Ray and people would have to go along with it. Today, the PS3 is in distant last place (karma?), Blu-Ray is not taking off as a result and adoption for both HD formats are pretty slow as the average consumer does not see any real benefit that is worth the cost.
When prices drop, whoever can drop pricing more efficiently will end up getting the major momentum and will be the format of choice. I for one think both technologies are irrelevant as by the time the strong majority of people give a shit about HD, optical media could be obsolete
The fact that Novell has not really managed to come close to taking Red Hat's crown in the enterprise space shows it's made no difference. Microsoft will do their FUD with or without Novell.
The community does seem less likely to use their products (Novell, Linspire, Xandros) but most community users use Fedora or Ubuntu already
He was talking about this sort of shit when he was NaturalSelector89. We saw this comming a mile away.
He always made videos praising the likes of Timothy McVeigh and being sympothetic towards guys like Eric Harris.

Agreed, this is the primary purpose of the GPL and what makes open source so great. This idiot would be better off asking "Does Oracle Unbreakable Linux hurt Red Hat?" As they DO provide commercial support.
By this guy's logic he should ask himself "Does Fedora hurt Red Hat?" "Does Linspire hurt Ubuntu?"
The reason RHEL is in the #1 seat isn't just because they have a great product (which they do) but their support is brilliant as well. Companies that want paid support take that into consideration.

OSX was loosly based on NeXT. It's kernel is Darwin which is based on NetBSD.
Linux is loosly based on Minix only ditching the microkernel design and got support as the GNU kernel (another microkernel) was going nowhere.
Minix and BSD are based on UNIX, anyone can make a UNIX System III derivative for free as the code is public domain. Just most of the code is obsolete so you are better off making a BSD or Linux derivative (or Minix 3 if you want a microkernel)
So if you look at a family tree, Minix and Linux are brothers while OSX and Linux are more like cousins
Windows is the annoying friend that spunges off you for handouts and crashes on your couch
I got nVidia hell in a different way this time. Single head nVidia GeForce FX5200, whenever I play video, the screen randomly blacks out. Using the 'nv' driver there are no issues.
I was going to roll back to an older driver but my new ATi X1950 is on its way. That way I wont have driver hell ever again come 8.04 release;)
While most publishers gave last year's Game of the Year award to Zelda and to a lesser extent Gears, IGN gave it to Okami, for good reason: it is an incredible game.
I personally consider it equal first with best PS2 games ever, the other being Katamari Damacy, yes I do put it in a higher class than God of War, Vice City and other big PS2 hits, it's that good.
I guess theres still some bugs to workout
I'd sign it if they agreed to pay me for 6 months after employment, otherwise I would tell them to get stuffed
Different results when they go bust

Ok I see your point

People realizing that the games they buy are exactly the same as the ones they bought last year?

Well it will be nice to get my 256Mb ATi X1550 out of VGA mode at 1024x768 at 16-bit color.
Btw I am NOT joking, thats what I am stuck at on Gutsy. Not a good look on a 22" Widescreen monitor
My wireless card works great under gutsy, my ATi X1550... not
How about Robot Chicken? How about videos made by friends of mine with origional content!
