First off, this was all just a scam, now the page links to the wikipedia entry about Radix Sort, whilst it still contains a lot of Google ads. We're making the guy rich. :-)

Then, you can both apply quick and merge sort to a linked list, no need to have random access. Yes, it'll be slower than if you had random access to the lists item, but the complexity would be just the same on both cases.

If your list is doubly linked, however, you can apply merge sort to ot without any drawbacks and without requiring random access: you basically first split the list of n items in n circular lists, then you go power-of-two lists at time merging them together, till you only are left with one list, which will be the sorted one.

You use the "next" pointer of the last item in the list in order to keep a reference to the next list, whilst you use the "prev" pointer of the first item in the list to point at the first item of the list.

Here is an implementation of both quick and merge sort on doubly linked lists.

You have no way to prove it's bogus, just like they have no way to prove it's not. You both are on the same ground and think very much alike. The conclusions you might come to might be opposit, but the method you use to get there is exactly the same.

With the advancement of technology, we might one day be able to simulate one entire universe inside a computer. Doesn't even matter whether it would take one of our years to simulate one second of the so created universe, because the time of the universe we created would exist in a reference frame independent from ours. What would matter, is the question: since you created that universe, who are you, if not the God of that universe?

Therefore, why and how we're here, ultimately, is irrelevant. There will always be the question "who or what originated it all". Call it God, if you wish.

I highly doubt any city is going to pay 30% more though. The cities and counties out here bid to the cheapest contractor and the cheapest contractor is probably going to get the cheapest concrete.

How much a solution is going to cost versus another one isn't (or shouldn't be) calculated only on the basis of the concrete's cost, but also on the other costs or savings that a certain solution is going to induce.

In the case of this special concrete, the city would probably see a net saving by not having to spend money to counter pollution in other ways and, since there would be a net decrease of health expenses as well, countries where health services are paid by the state (with people's taxes) would greatly benefit too. Add to that that the less money you spend for health issues, the more you have left to spend for other things, the more you drive the economy.
