I read idiotic propganda all the time, and sometimes watch fox news. Gotta know your enemy. Really, this is a common case of not letting people sitck their foot in their mouth. Most reasonable people would read this idiotic propganda once and never need to read it again. But I would rather not think what may happen if they didn't learn right from wrong early...
For once in history, we have the ability to freely say and do anything, without causing any type of direct harm, and best of all, if it pisses you off, it's just one button to get rid of it all. I see no reason we need to bring the old broken laws enforced by fear and close-mindedness into this new medium.
If this "content that is not suitable for children" is so evil, please explain why it has existed since the dawn of time with no clearly proven impact on the world. Trying to deny it is just a fact of life is like trying to say everyone has 3 ears. You can want it to go away, make laws to make it go away, but kids will always sneek a look. Before I can take your argument that we need censorship seriously, you are going to have to show how this double-plus-ungood content has hurt the world, or how lack of it has helped. Until then you are only blindly supporting what you are told to, so good luck with that.
I know I hate people who start to try to censor me, so "hate" is more a fact of life then something that increases and decresses. The level of it may change, but you sure as hell can't do it by being an asshole.
"Well yes we nuked a defenceless nation, but it's their problem for not having any type of missile shielding. Now that they have been wiped out, anyone who lived can come live with us! Well... kindof."
1. Become Apple.
2. Start a war with PCs/Windows.
3. Buy a few windows PCs to put on your line.
4. Infect them with a virus.
5. Blame it on windows.
6. There is no "???"
7. Profit!
Didn't you hear? It's illegal to sell music if you are not in the RIAA.... if you get popular, you can bet you will be sued into next week for totally hairbrain reasons.
"One kid buys a CD, rips it to WMP, ops, can't give load it onto another play for sure player. Another kids rips the CD to ACC. No problem loading it onto many iPods, or burning it onto a CD. As the past 50 years of widely profitable Music has shown, the kids will eventually buy music."
Or... they can take 10 min to rip it to MP3 and play it on anything they can think of with a speaker and 2-5 MB of space.
Since when are Peace Prizes given out to people who invent phyological/sonic/whateveryouwanttocallit weapons?? What's next, Peace Prize for the nuclear bomb? They certainly bring peace...
Speaking from experience, it can get even worse. I was working on overclocking my PC, so I updated the BIOS... same CPU, video card, hard drive... but when I booted up to windows, it wouldn't take my SN. After about 2 hours with MS I got it fix, but it was very much a hassle and unneeded. I do NOT plan to get vista, and this is the last pre-built PC I get, so I'm not getting OEM ether. Pirated or Linux, this is the last penny that goes to MS.
So I guess Free Software is just a farce, eh? There are many things people will pay for just to help the person who made it or because it's easy. Download 4 GB of data or pay 20$ and wait a few days? Sure - songs are smaller, but also much less valuable.
"While the MS kernel is likely to be more buggy it is much harder to contribute a patch to the MS kernel making it more difficult for a bad guy to slip the code into the kernel in the first place."
You seem to forget how easy it is to hex-edit and such. Pirates hack copy-protection far more sealed up then MS software, and all they are is a set of random people trying to give out free warez. A true conspiracy to hack the vote of a whole country is NOT going to be stopped by hex-editing vs. C editing, and while dark spots in the Linux kernel maybe hard to pick apart, a compiled window kernels is near imposable.
So would Linux be better? It probably doesn't matter - if it's going to be hacked, it's going to be hacked.

Are we sure this isn't just a rumor???
Soo...
"There nazis were oppressive and liked to kill people, so we are going to be oppressive also, and may kill you if you disagree."
Well, you sure can use Amaerican logic at least.
"so lets apply them to this new medium"
One word: Why?

I would have just fought it out. I mean, they can't make you have such a cruel and unusual punishment, why subject yourself to it???
How does this make Debian users use IE?
Until the server is cloned, Aala MMOGs.
Yes, overrated and underrated avoid metamod, but they also do NOT add/subtract from Karma, so it's kind of a half way.
Erm... I guess this will teach me to RTFA, or at least GTFT (Google The Fucking Topic).
Managers always drink on the job and have more then to talk then normal workers. ;)

*Large mean looking guy walks in*
"I bet you are feeling more patriotic already, eh?"

I think everyone would get something out of Porsche ads in WWII games. Something like "Mein Panzer uber Ford". :P
The RIAA is training an army of robots to take over the world since they lost the war with the internet! Bastards!
I think he means, "What right do you have to complain you are not getting MORE then you put in".

Or someone could call Roto-Rooter, I hear they know about pipes.
Hey, wanna start a technologist party with me slashdot?
