I hated it too. I always thought it was awfully suspicious when someone else was moving as fast as you were and you were using one of those infinite mushrooms, or a star..
Hooking up a DVI cable to a video camera wouldn't be very size efficient. And there'd be no audio transfer, so while HDMI would be better, the Firewire camera protocol isn't just sending video like a monitor does, it's actually sending the raw video (kind of like how HDTV sends MPEG2 over the air) as well as support for bidirectional communication other than video, like playback commands and tape position, for example.
I'm just asking because I don't own a 360 (yet) and will never own an iPod (Zen FTW) but how does the 360 play back music from the iPod? Does it read files off the HD, can it play DRM'ed music, does it just play back like a speaker attachment, or what?
The real question is does it support actual streaming TV? I just bought a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 and use it with Media Center, and planned on getting an Xbox 360 anyway which just so happens to be a Media Center Extender. Does Apple's new little toy stream TV over the network?

There's a difference between hardware detection and stable installation. Every time I've installed Vista it's gone out without a hitch, the image based installer failing on me less than XP's installer. (On the same note, I think my XP Pro CD is bad.) At least I can just re-burn the copy of Vista I got from Microsoft Connect legally as opposed to violating the law to make a backup of software I own that's labeled 'Do not make copies of this disc' just so I can install it.
Sucks for him. My internet, both wired and wireless, and both my sound cards worked right away in Vista. Funny thing is, Creative doesn't even have drivers for XP for my sound card anymore.. But Vista has them built right in.
I think the big "It is a federal offense to copy this disk" thing played before the movie is still in effect.
On a slightly off-topic note, you can remove that with DVD Shrink..
The sidebar doesn't save your settings and you have to start over?
I've been using Vista since pre-Beta 1 and I've never had to reset my sidebar widgets once.. (though I never really used the Sidebar until RTM, it still kept my zipcode for weather and stuff)
I love my Gigabyte motherboard and flashing from Windows.
My friend had an ASUS motherboard that could load the BIOS from a floppy.. or a CD. Not bad either.
You want us to slashdot the market?
And here everyone is complaining about UAC, while it's the only thing between you and installing that driver.
I was going to post "Yawn, same thing everyone said when XP came out" but I see you beat me to it!

Best comment in the discussion yet.

Yes, it's called myFairTunes (Google it) and an AAC to MP3 converter.

Well, if you're under contract, you can probably break it with this change.
Well, Mitt Romney's the only one that passes W3C validation, so he gets my vote?
Well, Linden Labs is planning on using Mono for LSL, and possibly to provide other languages such as C#..

I read "Death Ray" and thought, great, not another format..
Maybe it's just all the porn spam you get sent spoofed from hotmail addresses.

That's funny, I sure got it for free.
Apple won't have anything on you since it's a name based off of something else.. if anything, the actual company Rosetta Stone would be a problem.
I think that'd result in what they call a 'transparent application'.
I once got mail pointing to a phishing page on a school's website. Never know where those things are going to pop up..
