It hasn't been a secret for as long as I can remember. In fact it used to be one of the things I'd enjoy looking out for on the drive to Lochgilphead to visit my Aunt and Uncle.
Paroxetine (Seroxat / Paxil) courtesy of GSK, destroyed the past 10 years of my life due to the effects it had on my mother and will very much torment her for the rest of her life. She turned suicidal, then generally nuts and ended up flipping out, stabbing me in the back with a knife one day 5 - 6 years ago.
There have been countless investigative documentaries, damning evidence that the drug has serious side effects, countless lawsuits against GSK and yet they still won't admit any wrong doing regarding the drug.
But, that's just one in many of Glaxo's arsenal, so I hear.
Apple made a net profit of $1.14bn (£683m) in the 3rd quarter last year, compared with $904m for the same period the year before, and their market share has just topped 10% for their whole product base.
I have a question actually regarding "Tehran denies that claim and says its nuclear ambitions are limited to the production of energy."
Is anyone else equally concerned at the thought of a nation developing it's own nuclear power projects without assistance from nations / specialists that have learnt from previous mistakes? (Chernobyl, TMI et al)
Amen to that. Buying into Apple's 'way of life' has all but eliminated the constant stresses I used to face managing my computing life. As a developer I'm trained in a multitude of platforms, yet with the quality of products I've since switched over to from Apple, there's been no learning curve, everything does as advertised; "It just works."
I've spent about £40 - £50 on apps for my iphone and the most expensive ones haven't been the most complex, not by a long shot. They have, however, been the most useful. In fact, some of those simple apps are so simple I could sit and code them myself in a night, but that would work out more expensive for me owing to Apple's initial developer registration fees.
In such situations it's therefore more cost effective for me to pay that £3 for whichever useful application, saving me time, keeping the developer happy and hopefully giving the developer some financial support to continue making good, useful applications, which in turn keeps me happy.
I see way too many dev's making iphone apps assuming / blaming a lack of sales on the price tag of the application, at the end of the day if the application is worth the price tag, I, like most people, will buy it if I have a need or want for it.
(XP) - Doubtful if Microsoft continue their push on not-supporting XP further while their best alternative is a pile of shite. It's driving more people to pirate XP resulting in less secure system setups - this being something I've personally witnessed from the droves of people (friends etc) contacting me to be their personal tech support gimp.
I would probably have an aneurysm if that day came.
This my friend, is nothing new.

Don't worry, they've got Denzel.
Thank god for meta-moderation.
Earlier I thought the article was about the economy, now I thought this article was about Steve Jobs.
*Sigh*
You remind me of this guy.
When I read that title I momentarily envisaged Microsoft employees as dead hard drives.
Although saying that, I hate the UK being tied to those dodgy Europeans.
It was a Brit that invented the Web.
"Oops, sorry!"

This is what happens when British people get locked in one room for too long.
Killing the company??

How exactly are they, killing the company??

Before some nation blasts it out the sky?
I'd say that in ~1 year we'll really have nice working replacement of Exchange+AD, compatible with legacy Windows clients.
It'll be interesting to see how well Apple implements Exchange protocols / support into OSX / Mail etc.
Amen.
I can run Vista on 512 MB of RAM, but not nicely.
That's not running Vista, friend.
That's walking.
No, that's barely crawling.

Umm, what?
...and still, I love(d) Blair.
Go go Obama!
Not the year, but more than likely it would probably ruin my day, at least.
