Now rationally no one would put a bomb, even a bomb the size of a D cell, on something with bright flashing lights in the shape of late-night cartoon characters because it would be totally obvious to even a mindless...
The same thing happend with 2000 when XP came out. No one wanted to change. Now everyone is clinging to XP not wanting to move to Vista. Next you know people will be clinging to Vista not wanting to move to the next product.
Sure Vista may be more of a system hog but XP was when it came out. Eventually computers could run it like a charm. I predict the same thing will happen with Vista. Sure it's slow at first but things will even out.
Unless things have changed I remember needing a floppy drive to install XP with a SATA Hard drive. It was used to upload the drivers for the drive. Have things changed now?
Ok so I know im gana get trolled for this but I have to speak out
In the meantime, what is your impression of the OS? Have you had a chance to use the retail version yet? Are you supporting it in a business environment? What's the launch of Vista been like for you?
Are you seriously going to ask that here at Slashdot? Thats like asking a liberal "So what do you think of Bush?"
As for me what do I think of it? I think it has a lot of bells and whistles perhaps a lot of home users might like. But for more hardcore computer geeks such as myself it may not be needed. I am looking forward to trying it however I do not support the whole DRM thing. I will be open minded, they did good with 2000 and XP.
A friend of mine has been scammed twice. He was trying to purchase a new fancy phone. The first time he found a good deal but made the mistake of not focusing on the reviews from other buyers. He paid his dues but never received a product...Out 400 bucks.
Scam numer0 2 was a bit more shiesty. He purchased a phone from someone over sea's. This was about 600 bucks, the guy had great reviews and it seemed like a winner. After he placed his purchase a month passed...No phone. So he decided to contact the seller. The seller said he sent the package and he had it insured and would claim the insurance and resend another phone....Weeks later still nothing. One day my friend received a box. Hoping for his phone he noticed that the address on the box was totally butchered. A number here on the address was missing, part of the street name was gone. It looked like the sender did it on purpose. Upon opening the box were 2 apples....We never got a hold of the seller. This was the senders trick. He received payment on the phone and then intentionally butchering the address so he could then claim the insurance payout...for another 600 bucks. The seller came out way on top and was never found again.
Finally...I am sick of people purchasing stuff online and not working for it. I played EVE Online for the longest of time, and I was sick of selling Isk (EVE Money) all over Ebay. Money on EVE is something you have to work for but people can be lazy and just buy it off Ebay. I am glad they are doing this.
Ok can you upgrade the hardware in your mac? Can you take an older mac and put the latest OSX on it? Or do you have to buy another? You tell me how the process works.
I love the new Mac vs. PC commercial. It shows the Windows guy going to have surgery and all this stuff for upgrading...but wait a min...The to cool for school Mac guy didn't say how the process works for him...If you want to upgrade a mac you get a new one. To my knowledge you can't just load a new OS on it, on top of that hardware is not upgradeable.
I think a great spoof commercial would be for the mac guy to come out "Well it's time for an upgrade..."*Shoots himself in the head* and a new mac guy comes walking out.
You know, back in my younger days (I'm 22;)) I used to drink sodas like a ritual. Never really liked coffee. Until one day when I wanted to give up sodas and caffeine. It was hard for the first few months and I was tired as hell being so dependant on it. But now its been about 3 years. I'll have a form of soda caffeine or not mabye once a month. I drink water and sometimes (decaf) Tea. My morning have been much better now. I don't need anything to wake me up.
I feel the same way. Every section of Morrowind was unique. There was one dungeon, I think for the main quest where you had to go up this spiral walkway (Below being sort of a lake) and recover this...Bow I think it was? It was on the western side of morrowind, but it was one of the most interesting dungeons. I loved just looking around at it's glory and the way it was designed. Just looking up and seeing how this place was...Gave me a true feeling of exploration.
I feel the same way in that Oblivion is just the same thing....You can go to one side of the world and see the same as the other side. Each dungeon while different in a sense was really...the same thing, just layed out differently. I know I am saying the same thing you did it just feel good that someone see's it like I do. I wish people at Bethesda would read this and make future Elder Scroll games like Morrowind. If you combine Morrowind and Oblivion you would have a real treat.
I really wish they would bring more "Lore" into the game. Just like in Morrowind it was fun exploring dungeons and what not., but in Oblivion it's like...the same thing. I don't get the thrill out of explorering the world like I did with Morrowind.
Sure there is a small chance but lets just say we had a plane hijacked. It is moving for the white house and we need to take it out before it crashes into the building. Say our fighter jets go up but the hijackers utilize the ability to knock out our missles coming for them? I would think that mabye there would be an override system but still.
Also how often do terrorist come into our territory and start shooting down our commercial planes?
They were there for weeks...
Starcraft
The people testing this were form Boston...Hell the people are scared of light brites...Troll troll troll your boat.....
Mac is for people who know they don't want to belong.
hah sorry i rofled at that.
How can you blame windows for having different versions of Vista when Linus has all kinds of distributions? Yeah Ill get trolled for that I know.

Chairs are gana be flying when Balmer finds out how easy this is.
When they have been there for a few weeks. Makes me feel real safe.
I love your sig. Linux haters unite! There needs to be some diversity in Slashdot...However because we are different we will get modded down.
Unless things have changed I remember needing a floppy drive to install XP with a SATA Hard drive. It was used to upload the drivers for the drive. Have things changed now?
You were using a Best Buy computer...What did you expect?

This is one of many reasons I avoid Ebay.

I say we go back to rock coins.
Must be caused by us hitting a hot spot in the sun...It all makes sense now ^-^

It doesnt suck?
Unless the aliens are more productive. They don't have to be built on our level.
With that being said could the enemy just not use the same strategy? In the long run making this whole missle defence tactic useless?
Also how often do terrorist come into our territory and start shooting down our commercial planes?
