I think that you are thinking too "Mission Impossible" here where the agent rolls under the car at a stop light and puts a magnetized tracker on the underside of the car. These devices are actually hard wired into the vehicles battery system so that they charge when the vehicle is on. The FBI wouldn't waste time tracking someone with a battery powered device that would go dead and then they would have to find them again to plant a new device.

GPS tracking devices are radio controlled. The device still has power when it is "off" only the Global Positioning transmitter is off and it can be turned back on at any point by sending a command to the device. In layman's terms it is kind of like a cellular "phone" which is technically a radio. Even when your ringer is off you can still receive calls you just can't hear them in which case they go to voice mail (by default), or any other number/service you have decided to reprogram the device to send to.

No, Bush is actually an English Sir Name. German Sir Names commonly end in things like Berg or Berger for example Schamberger (My Grandmothers maiden name), Schamberg, or Hammerberg. Also, a lot of German-Americans shortened their names to just Berg or Berger to try and disassociate themselves with the Nazi's. Just FYI.

This is the reason that Google purchased Motorola, because Motorola owns a crap-load (yes that's a technical term) of old generic patents that can be applied to almost anything in the mobile industry. 11. Re:For us non-US folk... on Google Pulls Support For CDMA Devices · · Score: 5, Interesting

Actually, I work in a lab that programs, tests, and services phones on all four carriers. You are absolutely correct in your statement! Sprint and Verizon both were using CDMA for that reason. Verizon has now switched to LTE for quite a bit of it's network but Sprint is still using a combination of CDMA and WiMax. While AT&T and T-Mobile were using GSM but have now mostly switched to HSDPA(HSPA+) and LTE respectively.

What most people don't realize is that none of the technologies that are currently out can truly be called 4G! Unlike 3G, there is no specific standard for what is considered 4G service yet. The industry is saying that these specifications are in development, but right now 4G is more of a gimmick to get consumers to buy the latest and greatest thing! 2G service came out around 1995, 3G came out around 2005. Mobile infrastructures, in the USA at least, seem to be on a ten year cycle. With that said there most likely will not be a "4G standard" till around 2015. Sprint actually has the most right to call it's network 4G, not because of speed, but because it is the 4th generation of it's network.

There are a lot of people peering in on the United States and waiting for the giant to fall but what most people seem to forget is that the United States is the come-back king! We have always fought our way out of tough situations and come back stronger than we started. It has been in the soul of our nation from the beginning when we fought for our independence in the revolutionary war, braved our way out of the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, The Cold War, Many Droughts, Pearl Harbor, September 11 and the list goes on. A lot of people want to bring up the National Debt when I talk about this and my response is as follows:

As of last June the biggest holder of Treasury debt was the U.S. government itself, with about 52 percent of the total debt. Most of the government’s holdings are massive savings accounts for programs like Social Security and Medicare. See the following article for more information.

These people are obviously criminals and should not be allowed to come into our country.

The only problem is that our government is using the illegals to support the collapsing Social Security system right now so they don't want to keep them out. Think about all of the money that is being paid into the system by illegals that are paying social security tax using dead people's social security numbers. My girlfriend runs and apartment complex and she turns down illegals all the time because they give her social security numbers from deceased individuals when verifying employment and other requirements for renting apartments.
