When will someone invent a cheap global wireless solution for email. I don't live on land anymore more I live on a sailboat which spends most of the time in the middle of an ocean. Right now I am using sats for my access which is very expensive. I want a global communicator like in the TV show "Earth Final Conflict" I know the tech exists so someone build the damn thing.
It also includes the right not to us open source software. Any legislation forcing any type of software is bad. I want a level playing field in which all software is considered on its merits...free or not. Now go out and make it happen. Thanks
Is it legal for 500 people to stand outside RIAAs lawyers office with baseball bats? The only reason they can get away with this is because they feel they are untouchable. It's time for them to realize they are not. I've seen this type of thing before. If you rollover for they keep coming back for more. You made a search engine? Fuck you pay me! You wanna buy a blank CD? Fuck you pay me! In college? Fuck you pay me! Ex girlfriend left CD in your car? Fuck you pay me!
Sound familiar? It's time for RIAA to sleep with the fishes. I from jersey we know how to do it.
Since your didn't really give any details on the size/type/power of the boat I can't be too specific. But, your friend will need enough batteries to power all onboard systems plus the computer for the average time he expects to use it. They will also need an inverter. I would recommend one from the Heart Freedom line. Sizing of the inverter depends on if they want to run any other AC devices and the amount of room available to mount it.
Be sure and also factor in the cost of your time and another resources required to build the systems. The time you spend on this will prevent you from doing other work. Be sure that the number really make sense beyond the basic cost of the hardware. You may find that it is more expensive doing it yourself but cheaper if you hire a tech-temp for 30 days or whatever to build them for you.
Yes... Executive Order 12333 of 4 December 1981 describes in more detail the responsibilities of the National Security Agency. The resources of NSA/CSS are organized for the accomplishment of two national missions:
The Information Assurance mission provides the solutions, products and services, and conducts defensive information operations, to achieve information assurance for information infrastructures critical to U.S. national security interests.
The foreign signals intelligence or SIGINT mission allows for an effective, unified organization and control of all the foreign signals collection and processing activities of the United States. NSA is authorized to produce SIGINT in accordance with objectives, requirements and priorities established by the Director of Central Intelligence with the advice of the National Foreign Intelligence Board.
I would like to thank everyone who voted for this post and helped make it the top post in this thread. I would also like to thank the academy and John Katz for being so annoying that I have to come to/. everyday to see what stupid topic he is expounding on today.
Thank you all.
Track down a copy of the acceptable use policies from the time you worked there and see if they prohibit the installation of unauthorized software. Also, did anyone help you do this and was your supervisor aware of this? You need to start tracking down other employees that you may have told about this. You need to show that it wasn't against their internal policies or that it wasn't kept a secret from the rest of the organization.
