This is a fundamental misunderstanding of how business works. Making money is the ends, not the means. The only thing a company should do is make customers!

That's not true for Gmail's inbox. They've offered all kinds of changes through labs and priority inbox but you can still use the classic inbox, same as it was when Gmail first launched.

How about instead of having one big battery, you have two smaller batteries. That way if there is a problem with one, you still have the other half of your charge fully functional. That SHOULD be enough to get you to the next swap station.

Actually, Sony buys the "guts" of their HD TVs from Samsung and just puts them in a slick case and slaps their logo in it. You can buy the exact same TV from Samsung without paying extra for the Sony brand.

It's those Metal Gear Solid-like titles that got Sony into the trouble they're in; the insane overhead of developing them is taking its toll on the industry. See: Free Radical, Factor 5, etc...
What's more, these titles appeal to people who likely have already bought a PS3. If Sony wants to compete they need a Wii Sports, not another Metal Gear Solid.

If implemented properly this video service could be quite useful for pirate bay users. Imagine if you could use it to preview the quality of a movie before you torrent it. That would save a ton of wasted bandwidth previously used for mistakenly grabbing a camcorder-quality flick.

Of course the video quality would have to greatly surpass that of youtube for this to work...
