A Google Beta is an Everyone-Else Delta. They just assume anything internal is alpha and the rest is beta where most companies have it in 3 steps: Internal: Alpha, Limited: Beta, Widespread: Delta. Google's is:
Internal: Alpha, Limited: Alpha, Widespread: Beta.
Drink a lot of water. Sometimes passing out somewhere strange doesn't make that easy but if you're at home...seriously...just drink a shitload of water before bed. You'll be better, though nothing perfect.
DNA information is still (generally) extracted chemically. Optical microsocopes will never have (thank you laws of physics!) the resolution required to be able to actually SEE DNA, and to send an electron microscope wouldn't be prudent at this juncture (thank you Dana Carvey!)
OK so I don't know if this is a good test, but here goes:
I hadn't restarted Firefox in a while, apparently. After setting that option to FALSE I went to go check for add-on updates and noticed that NoScript currently said "must restart the browser." So I did, and when it came back up guess what...NO POPUP SCREEN! Crossing my fingers for a new update soon so I can give a definitive answer.
So long as there are ways to decrypt, there will always be a way to "attack." It isn't necessarily the fault of the algorithm either. Prime example: social engineering.
I agree. The problem is though that the people that are complaining probably: A) Don't even know what it is and B) Don't even bother reading it once they figure out which order of buttons to push.
Even though the concept SHOULD be easy enough for anyone who can figure out how to browse the internet, the issue isn't comprehension but presentation. It's immediately demoted to "annoying pop up" as opposed to "informative box I should read" in the style it's in now.
Erm... Yeah he most certainly is. Whether or not you believe "leftist" is a good or bad term is subjective, but he very definitely is a "lefty."
Examples:
His plan to include broadband in the Universal Service Fund
Being the most liberal Congressman: http://nj.nationaljournal.com/voteratings/
He is opposed to capital punishment
He is in support of a federal single-payer health plan
He is against any restrictions on abortion
He is in support of state laws to ban the manufacture, sale and even possession of handguns (ouch!)
I can even continue on if I must. Sorry to burst your bubble pal, be he's definitely EXTREMELY "leftist."
So then it's Apple's problem to not sell it to them. Again, once the software is legally purchased, there's no signature or contract saying that it CAN'T be used for this purpose.
It all boils down to the effectiveness of "inherent agreements" or EULA's...which, in my opinion, is (and should be) nil.
Humans are just the universes way of figuring itself out. My philosophy is that our universe is moving away from entropy. As a result, the more organization that occurs, the more intelligent the universe gets.
To put it in perspective, humans would be the nerve ending in the tip of a finger (the earth) on a hand (solar system) on an arm (galaxy) of the whole body (universe.) As particles get more organized (less chaotic) we are able to move at a more better pace essentially growing more intelligent at an exponential rate. Just look at the last 25 years, 100? 1000?
...until, at least, an asteroid comes along and smashes the earth back into chaotic pieces forcing "us" to start over.
If what they are selling works as a full version, that's kind of like saying "you can't use this freezer we're selling you to store meat, just to make ice cubes." Once the hardware leaves Apples hands, why do they have any right to say what can and cannot be done with it? They don't own it. Now if Apple just LEASED all their hardware, that'd be a completely different story.
I can give you plenty of MS Windows API's, plugins, and resources. I can give you the source code to quite a few OS's....still a long way from coding me Vista!
BTW: I will pass on my attempt at the snarkiness that will inevitably follow this comment in anticipation for the almighty Slashbrain to entertain me.
Understandably extremely specialized software might not be worth writing (entering a niche market with no income is business suicide) but if the software is general enough, usually a good tour of the interface is enough to get a project kickstarted.
I'm sure the devs didn't need to see the source to Winamp* before writing XMMS**.

and then I PULL OUT MY GUN!!!
(now I'm in the closet too!)
What about Google Chrome?
:-P
built from the ground up, they say

I've got a question...why the hell do all clods have to be insensitive?! I've known some clods that have bawled their eyes out over roadkill!
So regardless of the prior art and ownership of that line being yours, think of the clods, because they can be sensitive too.
Wow so I was beaten to the punch by a few clicks above. Good to know, thanks poster! Wish I'd figured this out a long time ago...

Well, I just found something in the about:config screen:
noscript.firstRunRedirection = true
Not sure if this has anything to do with it, I just set it to "false" and will let you know.
His dumb what?

=Then what's the point? (Couldn't decipher it could you?!)

And you'd think a company like Google (yes, this applies to both AdWords and AdSense) would be quick to fix this too...

This was meant to be a response to Mr. Mischief...not sure why it appended to my own post...

Wait, what?! Oh I get it. There you go, eating wood again!
format c: /q
and wouldn't that only work at formatting the server?
