That defeats the purpose. I work for the police department where I live (I am not a cop) and I can tell you the object is not to recover the stolen auto. Police don't care about getting back your stolen car. They care about cuffing the person that stole it. And perhaps that's not such a bad thing.
At 911, we do 400 compressions over the phone before the first set of 2 breaths, then 100 compressions in between breaths, except when the patient has been electrocuted, drowned, or is under 18. There are a few reasons for this, one that applies specifically in over the phone instruction is that it takes longer to explain where to put the hands and the more often/the sooner the caller has to leave that position to do something else, the more likely they are not to be as effective in subsequent pumping.
Oddly enough I was using Gnome when I posted that comment, and in the time since have switched to KDE, and I do like it better than Gnome and the 2 others I tried. (P.S.: Second day with Ubuntu...love it)
I just switched my mom and dad (56 and 61) from Win XP Pirate Edition to Ubuntu and they both love it... It is worth a thought. Especially with the Live DVD option, try before you write.
