Of course, the real solution is switch goes down, and monitoring system immediately spots the problem, and tech is immediately dispatched to replace it and in 20 minutes we're running again.
No. I would hope that if someone is using a VMware environment they have a clue about HA and DR. A single switch failure should not cause an outage in any environment. Small/cheap/poor shops exempt.
Sounds like Lab Manager. It definitely has a steep learning curve, but it is a very useful tool. Unfortunately they've taken a step back with vCloud, but it should catch up in another 12 months or so and eventually be a more robust tool than LM.
Yup. We created custom Linux "Live" CDs to deal with older workstations. Boots up to a login screen that connected to the VMware environment for their shiny new "workstation" in the server farm.
Due to alcohol control laws in the United States, students don't have that option unless they're college seniors.
I suppose that depends on how you define a "pub" or "bar". Most "bars" (in the US) that restrict entry to 21 and up aren't ideal places to watch a sports game anyway (1 or 2 small TVs placed in bad viewing areas). Most "sports bars" I am aware of have no age restrictions and have dozens (depending on size of establishment) of TVs scattered throughout. Heck, most chain restaurants have plenty of TVs in their bar areas and no age restrictions. I am not sure where you are getting your information from.
You need to go back and read the original comment. Folks playing the game longer have already unlocked all the weapons and thus have 2 advantages - experience and uber weapons. Same thing with his soccer analogy - a more experienced team (played game longer) and a smaller goal to defend (uber weapons).
It would be interesting if other aspects of our lives had a/played option to look at - sleep, work, vacation, sports, TV, boinking, camping, sitting in traffic, etc. WoW might not look so bad in comparison.
Wow, thank you for this. I've tried looking for some kid friendly computer programs without too much luck. This looks like it will fit the bill perfectly for my 4.5 year old.
with the current state of chip industry, it doesnt take any effort to make consoles upgradeable at least in a few respects, like cpu power, or, gpu power, or mem, and allow users more freedom.
and that would make additional revenue for console operators too. instead of hauling out entire platforms in every 3-4 years, they can speedily sell more cpus, gpus, mem units to the owners, both making more profits and also making them happy. also cutting design costs.
And doing that makes them essentially the same as PCs and all the issues of designing a game around systems with different specs.
Who can forget the warm beer, bad food and lovable totalitarian government?
I never had a warm beer in the dozen or so pubs I visited while in London a couple years back. And if you don't like a good banger, then that's your problem.:-P
ROFL.
Thank you for the list, there are many of my personal favorites on there; will definitely have to check some of these out that I've never played. Sorry you had such a pain posting them.:(
Care to share your final list? I'd love to see it and possibly go back and play some that I might have missed. I have a gazillion ROMs, but only go back and play 15 or so personal "classics" from time to time.
Ahh. That's who that is in the last frame. I should know that, I have a whole collection of Don Quixote DVDs for my kid. Of course, they are in Castilian and my Spanish is severely lacking.
Upgrading to 7.1 might help solve some of your issues. I know there were a several fixes in the 6.5.x versions revolving around DirectX. Assuming you are on 6.5, upgrading to 6.5.4 might be helpful.
I never could get into Dune (blasphemous I'm sure), so I really don't have much of an opinion on the series. Maybe the mixture is why I wasn't a fan? I honestly don't remember why I didn't like it. It's been over 20 years since I've tried to read the series, so maybe I should give it another shot.
How would you categorize the heap of dung called the Darksword Trilogy (Weis/Hickman)? I was so pissed at this series as I am a "fantasy" guy more than a "sci-fi" guy and the two worlds should never mesh IMO
****ING

Total Bullshit
is not? /boggle
Lab Manager is simply a toolset that runs on top of vSphere. :-)
If you manage the environment via a web interface it's most likely Lab Manager, which communicates with vCenter Server (the management piece vSphere).
If you are aren't the system admin, typically you have no interaction with vCenter server.
Of course, the real solution is switch goes down, and monitoring system immediately spots the problem, and tech is immediately dispatched to replace it and in 20 minutes we're running again.

. How can the PHB work on the plane? .
That's where VMware ACE comes in. I'd do a linky but #$#@$@# Chrome won't let me.

Hm, I guess that Quake 3 would count under that. Even then, most of the long-term fun has been sustained by custom maps and mods.
However, by that logic, a soccer ball should cost $100 since it enables you to engage in a robust game with infinite replayability.
Soccer balls can cost over $100 -

Of course, you can get the cheap $10 version at Walmart too. Kind of like AAA games vs Indie it seems.

If most Northerners didn't want to end slavery, the civil war wouldn't have happened. What people want matters.
No.

Looks like France's unemployment rate is higher than in the U.S.

Maybe they should change to a 30 hour work week instead??
Ahh. That's who that is in the last frame. I should know that, I have a whole collection of Don Quixote DVDs for my kid. Of course, they are in Castilian and my Spanish is severely lacking.
Probably the same reason there are not more games for Mac and Linux. :-)

Sci-fi is based on science. Fantasy is based on magic. Both are fiction.
So which category would psionics, telekineses, telepathy, etc fall into? I think I could reasonably argue either way.
