For nearly a decade as chief technology officer at Sun Microsystems, Greg Papadopoulos has mulled the best way to build and sell high-performance computers, and more recently how to pull the company out of its financial slump.
Apparently, releasing some crazy theory called "Red Shift Theory" that says people should buy more "big-iron" servers like what sun offers is how he plans on getting the company out of a financial slump.
a) google is an inexpensive webhost
b) google most only have MySQL developers
c) who woulda thought the google search engine was developed from WordPress?
you're right! no wonder google uses mysql
Well, being that there is a pretty large portion of web developers out there that develop on Linux, why would they want to adopt this technology that they wouldn't even be able to use on their own systems let alone test it?
Hey! Speak for yourself buddy. I'd go back to school if they can turn that many girls into geeks. Hell, its even possible some of those college students will lose their virginity before they graaduate.
hey... what a ooincidence. thats just like apples campaign. pretend features that the mac have are exclusive. or even better yet, pretend that the mac is immune to security problems.
umm... you don't need a signature to agree to any kind of contract.
do you think any of the oss libraries require the user to sign something? of course not. simply using it means they agree to the terms of the license.
of course, i would imagine that they would need a patent or something to really enforce this in the court of law..
I can't find the takedown notice, but no where in the forums or anything i've been reading does it say that they are requiring the utility to be removed because it can possibly circumvent hd dvd encryption.
albeit its against the law to pirate software.... but how can it be morally wrong to use pirated software to teach impoverished children in a manner that provides no financial gain? if anything, this would only bring more business to microsoft as these children grow older and enter the workplace because they spent their adolescent lives using microsoft software.
i'm pretty certain most of the students here couldn't afford to buy all that expensive software when they were in college. now imagine living in a country like russia where it would probably take a months worth of wages to buy a full copy of windows xp. i whole heartedly support the idea of providing free software to students for educational purposes by any means possible... and i can't see how most of you don't.
No kidding. They should learn from the United States. Look at all the good we've done in the Middle East. Them Chinese.... noobs at this world politics stuff.

S _Spec_Common_0.91.pdf
if anything, they're requiring the tool be removed because it is an implementation of the technology and its not licensed by AACS, which it clearly states is required on the third page of this document http://www.aacsla.com/specifications/specs091/AAC
I don't see how Doom9 can win when on the third page of AACS Specifications http://www.aacsla.com/specifications/specs091/AACS _Spec_Common_0.91.pdf, it says:
Intellectual Property
Implementation of this specification requires a license from AACS LLC
