Yes, but your explaination doesn't account for Enter the Matrix, since Enter the Matrix was all 'figured out' at the same time that Matrix: Reloaded was being planned out. They even used the same actors, sets and special effects team to do the cinematics in the game that they did in the movie. Enter the Matrix, in fact, did pretty much everything you're suggestion they should do:

    1) It was faithful to the source material, being written by the same writers, acted by the same actors, etc.
    2) It had the additional length required to make a successful game, and little of that is what I would consider 'filler.'
    3) It played with the Matrix universe without the rick of 'stepping on the toes' of the sequels... since the sequels had already been planned out at the same time the game was made.

What Enter the Matrix is missing is something harder to grasp at.

All that said, your explaination is correct in a lot of cases.

Look at the Alaskan Way Viaduct, for example. An almost identical freeway in California collapsed in the 1989 earthquake. There's been a lot of lip-service about making the viaduct safe, but the only changes I've seen is the installation of a few metal braces on a couple of the supports. That's not good enough!

That viaduct needs to be torn down. If there's any weak point in Seattle's earthquake strategy, that's it.

    Whine whine.

There are tons of good innovative games out there, the problem is that nobody buys them. (Sometimes.)

For instance, look at a title like Beyond Good and Evil. This is one of the most compelling games I've seen in a long time and, only a few months after it's initial release, it's $20 in the bargain bin because nobody bought it. Or how about Syberia, an excellent adventure game recently released for XBox and PC? Crimson Skies for XBox? That's pretty innovative. Or Prince of Persia, which is a rehash of an older game, but done so well that you just can't hate it. Or even James Bond 007: Everything Or Nothing, the best 'playing a movie' game I've seen in a long while.

Did you, Mr. All Games Suck buy a copy of Beyond Good and Evil? If not, then you're part of the problem and not part of the solution! If you don't seek out the innovative and fun games, then you're contributing to the 'just make a sequel' attitude that the games industry currently has.

In short, all games do not suck. People who say all games suck suck.

You're cutting off those browsers for no good reason whatsoever and the *worst* part is that you could probably just detecting them by looking for "PPC" in the user-agent string. After all, how many times have you seen people all lined up behind a car making a left turn when there is plenty of room on the right side of the car to go around????

Uh, well, in many states this is the LAW so that might be a good reason.

I can't speak for where you're from, but in my state it's illegal to drive through roadside parking (your "plenty of space to go around") to pass a person making a left turn. If that's not enough, it's also illegal to pass a car on the right, which is exactly what you're doing. This isn't just a random law, it's there for safety reasons. Driving half-blind through multiple parking spots is *not* safe driving.

Now, this is perfectly fine if the road has two driving lanes. If the right-hand lane is free, move into it and pass the left-turner. But on most roads, doing so is illegal.

Man, I don't know the rest of the specs of your gaming machine, but if you're getting 25 FPS out of a ATI Radeon 9600xt and you have a decent CPU (2 ghz or greater) then you have some REALLY bad misconfiguration on your computer. Playing Unreal 2004 (same engine as 2003) at 1280x1024 I get a low FPS of about 40 and a high of about 70 from my Radeon 9600xt, AthlonXP 2100+ and DDR 2100 512 MB RAM.

What's your CPU speed? Do you only have a little RAM? You're having some problem not related to the video card, I can guarantee.

Oh, and FYI, there's no need to uninstall ATI drivers before installing the new version. You can do the exact same thing you've been doing with your NVidia drivers and have no problems at all. I don't know if ATI's "official recommendation" is to uninstall first, but it's not necessary.
