The signalling rates are measured in GT/s not Gbps (correct me if I'm wrong). The new release doubles the current 2.5 GT/s to 5 GT/s. As a comparison, the 2.5 GT/s is about 500 MB/s bandwith per lane thus 16 GB/s in a 32 lane configuration.
I tried to do the math but I just can't get it right with Gbps instead of GT/s.
I honestly exploded while reading it. Someone should really tag it with a warning right now because we don't want any conveyor belts stealing our airport security checkpoint. (reference #10)
It might not be that big of a deal but the very idea is disturbing. Sure, one could get the data by hiring a pickpocket but that is more troublesome given the fact that the passport holder would surely know that his/her passport was missing and would give warnings/alerts to ensure that it would not be misused. But now, you only need to setup a clever RFID reader/scanner and just sit beside the person. That person would never know what hit him. If someone gets any data from one's passport, that doesn't necessarily mean they would use that to create another passport. Whatever is in that chip could be used for other purposes.

I agree, Ultraman is ridiculously huge and in Japan you would see Ultraman everywhere especially when he is fighting those radioactive plants/worms/politicians(oops).
It's called a re-run, much like what the tv stations are doing everyday. Microsoft is just making sure we get the point and that we get it correctly because after all they did meet a deadline.
This was once featured on slashdot and for those confused, this is just a part of the world largest (longest) particle accelerator thing and one of the purposes of this huge facility is to generate small blackholes.
well, just remember to purge the exhaust manifolds afterwards, check the deutrium reserve levels and recalibrate the deflector dish. (the latter one is extremely necessary)
But they should have a penguin logo to come with it. I can't wait to see it...
Search in google the product you want to review then add the following phrase ", problems"

"If you have never been hated by your child, you have never been a parent. -- Bette Davis"
Here is the quote that displayed at the bottom when I browsed this article. It seems like Bette Davis begs to differ...
Think of the parents!!!
I must be new here....

Now that it is functional, I doubt that those floppies would work now. I hope they made backups.
I believe they would build a robot to do that job. Just give them time.
no one then can be more than 10% uglier or more than 10%!uglier than me. phew!

So then, he must be reserved for that first civilian flight to the Moon along with the Congress.
Worst case scenario is that he's not getting anything from Santa next month.
