  1. Jurisdictional nightmare. on Dutch Teen Arrested for Virtual Property Theft · · Score: 3, Insightful
Does anyone else think this is all getting just a little bit silly?

Is someone going to be virtually fined or virtually imprisoned over this? It would be kinda cool to have your virtual character locked up in the clink and have to deal with virtual prison issues that plague real prisons. I wonder how virtual gang-prison-ass-rape would play out.

It will be really interesting to see how the laws develop in this arena. Who has jurisdiction to hear this matter? If the server is in Germany, the "theif" is in South Africa, and the "victim" is in Canada, what's the venue?

    What laws are applied?

Sorry, but honestly, Apple could develop better stuff than Adobe.
True they could make better stuff than Adobe, but it seems advantageous to add, improve, and give the nice little Apple touches that we all love so much (save the newest version of iMovie) to already industry standard software. They can save tens of millions of dollars in development costs by tapping into an already established, high revenue generating company and tweaking it.

It seems unlikely that they would screw it up, but you never know...

You know, the ones with a few thousand multicultural workers and the insufferable "Can you hear me now" guy all standing behind the overly satisfied customer? They should all be replaced with rich, old, white males.

On a side, and hopefully not-downmod note, I'd love to see Jared from Subway and the Verizon guy in a death-cage match.

All should be able to tell that I'm a less-than-satisfied Verizon customer.

I agree that it's a pipe dream, no argument there. Student loans are certainly a huge revenue factor for the feds, but what about the huge amount of money that could be pumped back into the economy. I'm clearly not proposing a fix-all, but something's got to change. Being largely a consumer versus producer doesn't have great long term effects.
