    I noticed after the recent ipv6 thing that visiting TPB will show a little thing at the bottom of the page indicating that im accessing it using ipv6..

    changing DNS servers is easy enough for most anyone.. id imagine that they are blocking IPs ...

    is access via ipv6 a thing they are blocking ?

    is slashdot even gonna pretend that they can talk about stuff like this without such stuff ?

    Whether youre a person who 'supports' one side or the other on this or not.. I'd imagine that this is a thing that belongs in some kind of 'opinion' section.

    IF only the school systems in america werent structured how they are I imagine that we could have many folks finishing schooling much earlier than 18 and college a few years later..

    I know many students who were held back merely because they had to wait to go on to the next year.. at best put in an "advanced placement" course..

    we could easily have students graduating highschool at 14 or 15 ...if not sooner.. with the 'smart' ones beating that.. all of the time.. but.... it just doesnt seem to happen

    they just replaced my 2005 1gig iPod Nano with a new 6th generation 8gig iPod nano... for free, only took a little over a week.

    Luckily! There are some hospitals that will accept "High Risk" organs from male homosexuals! hooray!!

    but.. where do I put my orientation? on my drivers license? Do I have to tell my family? They didnt ask me at the DMV!! How can I keep my "High Risk" organs away from the unwitting public?!

    clearly you understand both religion and science if you can say something like this:

    I'm all okay with religion as long as people don't take it to extremes, but history has proven over and over again that if you chose belief over facts - aka religion vs science, then you're bound to lose

    it is not an either or proposition.. science and religion arent mutually exclusive.. science doesnt deal with morality, or faith..

    It would explain the relatively small proportion of the population that atheism makes up..

    Interesting how that small proportion is, seemingly, represented in much larger numbers here on slashdot.

    Most stories where religion come up it is hard to believe that atheism is anything but the majority here on /. of course this could be a moderation mistake..

    Sure would be nice to see a bit more diversity here when it comes to opinion on religion!

    I'd say that some of what you mention about group think and majorities is certainly true here:

    People aren't persecuted for their religion. They are persecuted because their religion (or ethnicity or social status or etc.) is different from the majority of those around them. Group-think and ignorance will attack what it doesn't understand or can't control in whatever form it takes.

    Take a look around.. How is this echoed in the things we see here on /. ?
