Jesus had prodigious beard, an unkempt mane of hair, walked around in sandals in all weather, and saw himself as a man with divine powers who was put on the earth to show people "the way".
Nearly all the worlds problems come down to energy!
True. After free energy however, the bottleneck will eventually move to some other resource. Metals, plastics, water, food, space - something like that.
Either your geography is bad or you didn't even look at that map. Notice it's just England, not the whole UK that has a state religion. Scotland, Wales and Northern Island, which are also constituent parts of the UK, don't have a state religion. Please stop calling the UK England and vice versa. They're NOT the same thing.
Most people have trouble actually listing all fifty states, never mind the capitals. Americans or not. The general populace isn't as educated as you would like to think.
Too expensive - we're in a recession you know. I prefer the 'deep ocean explorer' route. Meaning put them all in a shipping container and drop it over the side. You can put windows in it if you must.
If everyone has equal say, you get majority rule. People in large numbers are basically selfish or emotionally distanced from others anyway. Your average guy on the street finds it very hard to put himself in someone else's shows. So, you're going to be screwed if you find yourself in the minority in some debate where there is a polarisation between disparate interests. The outcome might not necessarily be the just or morally correct option.
Think about two groups pulling in opposite directions where there is clear line of divide across groups of age, race, sex, religion, disability, class, wealth, sexual orientation, polical views age and so on. I'm sure you can think of lots of examples where the will of the masses would infringe upon the rights of the individuals in the minority.
Think about your own life if you must. Is there any cause, interest, past-time or behaviour that is part of your life that would be squashed by this new consensus-state, just becuase it's different from what the masses see as right? You better hope the majority is as tolerant as you are in this new world order. Wisdom of the crowds indeed...
Does that mean Osama Bin Laden is a nerd too?
Linux is awesome and when I get mod points and coming back to mod you, your wife and that dumb dog of yours.
Whatever. He was still bad for the country.
I'm looking forward to JavaNE. :)
Java has it's faults but being slow is no longer one of them. You should do some googling.
It would have been funnier if he could also stop being glutinous.
At up to $1000 per megabyte, you'd think they would sort it out pretty quickly...
Worse yet. All it takes is one unlucky asteroid and everything is dust anyway. I say send in the bots. :)
I love that someone is typo squatting it. :)
You are much more annoying than an incorrectly modded comment.
I sincerely hope that this isn't the only design goal.

When you have an attitude like that, no there isn't. Please stay at home, you wouldn't like the food here. :)

I agree this is crap but it's exactly the direction the publishers want to go in. They still equate this kind of thing with lost sales.
You say that now, but you'll change your mind when Twitter and Co get all deep and meaningful about The Hottie and The Nottie

Absolutely. Sometimes you can even come back to your old company a year later to the salary and position you should have had anyway.
This would be useful for those playing World of Warcraft who need to look up things in Thottbot. I think I'd probably use it.
I think we should watch it before passing judgement, yes?
Those both sound the same to me. :)
When your mother gets into the drivers side.
