Aww not this again. I seem to remember the last time this came up. We established that in-game assets below to Blizzard/Sony/Turbine et al. You can't be taxed for something you don't own.
Amen. I was about to reply to him with the same thing but I scrolled down and saw your joyous statement. I can't imagine that guy would learn much from a Google developer conference anyways.
Very enlightening post. I'd always thought yachting was for the super rich. Obviously the manufacturers still need some convincing! Oh and kudos for the yacht hacks.:P
That's pretty insightful. Summed up by saying almost all security can be circumvented eventually with enough presistence. A shame its such a pain in the ass before then.
Its also as good a way as any to get developers outside your company to train in using your platform. You don't even have to pay them for their training, or while they're doing it. Then you can hire the good ones out of the community. Doesn't look so altruistic now does it?:P
I couldn't agree more. Its the publisher that gets respect because of its level of professionalism, trustworthiness, editorial discretion and willingness to abide by the law. A large print organization has a number of checks and failsafes to insure all their journalists play within these rules.
The journalist/blogger is just a conduit in getting news articles in at the base of this system. If a blogger had the New York Times supervising their work, they'd almost certainly gain more respect from third parties. This would be true even if their articles never appeared in print form.
Similarly journalists working for wacky publications like the U.K. Daily Sport (think soft porn, football and UFO stories) are rarely trusted any more than the average blogger is anyway.
Bloggers and journalists alike need to realise that even though they write the articles in the first place, their own importance in the greater system of news coverage is actually fairly small.
While we're on the topic of 45s, a funny club night runs in London...
A deceased grandfather left his 3000 records collection to his grandson. The grandson gets someone from the crowd to pick the next record to play and when its finished, they nail it to the wall. Every week you hear music that you'll probably never encounter ever again.
Great! As a previous gamer you obviously know how much fun games can be, it would be a shame to deprive your kids of that.
Even more so since games are a good aid for learning about co-operation, teamwork and sharing. The other social aspect is that kids talk about games in school a lot so this actually helps your kids fit in rather than the urban myth of social outcast loners.
Aside from that, there have always been multiplayer games. Most of the enjoyment I recall comes from the teamwork in gaming rather than just defeating the end of level boss on your own or something.
Of course the parts came from Holywood in the first place. Its like the circle of life. You don't really believe NASA did all that moonlanding stuff now do you?:)
'As commercial software products have matured, it no longer makes sense for organizations to develop software from scratch.'
This is equivalent to 'Off-the-shelf applications now fulfil all possible needs and changing requirements.'
Surely not. The British Computer Society should really talk amongst themselves before releasing such obvious trolling public statements. This idea could get in to the hands of people who would take it seriously...

These "review" sites are actually nothing more than a marketing tool of the video game industry. It's a form of viral advertising, really.
Absolutely. Reviewers are more or less paid off by companies with free trips, stuff and 'exclusives'. I don't really read any particular review any more and instead opt for using something like metacritic.
You must be new here.
Come on, own up. What retard marked the parent post as troll? Give the mod points back and leave it to the adults. This is a troll. Loser.

Are you a retard?

Wow, is the PS3 really so advanced? Now we know what that funky controller is for...
"We have been working with Microsoft," Intel hinted."
Now I know to avoid it.
Now come on, you saw that on Land of The Giants didn't you?
Ah, right wing christian nut it is. Thanks for clearing that up. :P
Saw a special about the first filming of the giant squid a few months ago

My TV has a zoom function too.

Anyone who talks on a cell phone in a movie theater or brings an infant to a movie theater is an asshat.
:)
Yeah. And huge fat ladies spilling over the arm rest in to your seat. They should stay at home and take up two seats of the sofa.

Exactly. When you pull the plug the box might STILL BE ON! :O

e-ehe-heh-heh. Shut up butt hole. :P
Nice thing about people who post excessively. They never have time to back up what they say with proof.
In Soviet Russia air blows you!
No robosperm for me thank you. Because hitting them with an alternating electric field sounds like quite a painful thing to do to yourself. :P
Then again, if implemented properly it does open a whole new realm of two-handed typing...
