Honestly I had hoped Indy 4 would be a revival of the franchise. Tell a story that alternates between a young and old Indy. Get Joaquin Phenoix as a young Indy in flashbacks and have Harrison in the "present" dealing with the fallout of some decision he made before.
Apple knows it would not stand up in court. It also knows it is valid enough that they could get sued, so Apple bought the patent from the company who threatend Apple with it before they got tied up in a messy legal battle dealing with another stupid patent aka the Creative BS.
Why would they host another con in October of this year? To announce a second expansion, before the first is even out? Blizzard spent quite a bit of money on Blizzcon 2005 and they are going to wait till they have something to sell us. My guess is that the second Blizzcon will be in April or May of next year and continue annually at that point. Once they have the first exp pack under their belt I'm sure they will be on track to release one just in time for Christmas annually.
You got it in reverse. Those drainai are called "The Broken" because they have been corrupted by thier world. They have reverted to thier most primitive state because of the magics of the twisting nether. Thier ancestors who I imagine looked very similar probably split off from the Eradar eons ago when they began to practice demonic magics and settled on a new world founding Dreanor. Then as the Dreanai evolved into what we see now in the new WoW video the Eradar became what we see in Warcraft 3, similar but twisted by evil.
This isn't about fair use. This is about protecting the WoW brand. Hundreds of these "guides" litter EBay. They are nothing more than get rich quick schemes promising secret exploits and easy gold. Frankly the people dumb enough to buy these are the same people whose opinion of Blizzard unfairly damaged when the realize they were conned. If this guy were above board, he could have set up a website to promote and sell a legitimate e-book to paying customers. This would have made him accountable to customers and given him defense against Blizzards actions. He is just another scam artist who got caught and now he thinks he can blackmail a settlement out of Blizzard with the threat of negative publicity.
Where is our Pixar/Disney Sequal?
on
The Story of Tron

· Score: 3, Insightful
The rumours few around a few years back but with this years aquissition of Pixar by Disney it could be a huge blockbuster.
Unfortuanly no we are stuck with The MacBook Pro Duo. Steve Jobs said in his keynotes that all computer lines are going to be rebranded with "Mac" in them. I guess we can look forward to the iMacbook.
I understand the list is quite long, but surely PC World could have done better than use their July 2003 review for the Itunes Music Store. 200,000 songs? Mac Only?
They do. Based on the many crashes on Kil' Jaden, heres what I gather are the there is a master server which handles global/guild chat, auction, and mail functions. Then there is a server for each of the two continents. Before there was a bug with boats that would cause the Eastern Continent to reset constantly however those in the West were unaffected. Instance Servers. There are likely many servers which host private instanced dungeons for groups, and these probably get scaled with population and popularity. Also based on observation and what other players have said there is at least one separate server for loot drops, which is what causes "loot lag" where a player gets stuck in the looting position while the server is queried.
Had the 3 console specific characters been on each port those numbers would have been very different. People who owned Cubes and another system bought the Cube version for Link. If it weren't for Link I cant imagine anyone wanting to play a fighter on that god awful Nintendo controller instead of the PS2 controller, or even (shudder) the Xbox controller.
The best part about this whole scam is that you should never need to buy gold in WOW. It is so easy to come accross. However the primary means of sale in WOW is the Auction House. These same companies that farm gold have accounts that sit at the Auction Houses all day. They purchase any and all items of rare value and then relist them at 2x - 3x their normal price, causing artificial inflation. The person who wants that item now has to either play 3x as much to earn enough gold or purchase from a farmer, who sells 500 gold for a $100 and then gets that 500 gold back when the person buys the auction and then the sells it to the next sucker. And all the farmer had to do is farm 200 gold.
1. You will almost always be grouping on a PVP server. Once this is in place it will be very hard to solo past level 30. Players will have incentive to kill you so you will want to be in a group to minimize this, and maximize you ability to kill players of the opposing faction.
2. Despite what anyone says, I believe that Blizzard is correct that this will decrease ganking of low level players. There will now be risk/reward in PVP. I don't run around killing level 10 creature because it is not worth my time. My time is better spent killing those creatures that can reward me for my kill with money or an item I can use. The same will apply with the honor system. I will be rewarded for seeking out players of my level to kill not those who are lower level. As for those players who still gank. Well lets just say that there are small children of all ages who need to kill weak people to feel big and no amount of dishonor would stop them anyways.
3. This will hold on to hardcore players. If Blizzard loses the hardcore players they loose their long term revenue stream. All the talk about casual players is well and good but they wont be around for the long haul. This is the kind of compelling ladder system that will keep those competitive players sticking around paying their $15 dollars a month for years to come. If they don't stick around the game will die out.
Yes but Q was never a villian. In fact I think the closest other character I can think of is Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter. In the early books he does little more than let the charaters make mistakes and fix them themselves. Q is much more direct in that he usually crates the problems in order to knock Picard down a notch and show them not only how much humanity hasn't acheived but what it can acheive someday.
I imagine that the release date will be at least a year from WWDC. They have been setting the release dates about 18 months apart. This is the developers conference of course they are going to pull out the next OS and preview it. Oh and two paid updates in the past 5 years each of which has been a significant advancement is worth $250 dollars.
Ah yes. I remember the days when we loaded the System Folder on every floppy disk we had just so you pick up any disk on the stack and boot up with it.
I don't think it needed to go through the qualifier rounds. Notice Starcraft, and Pac Man were not on any of these lists. There were only 34 catagories to vote in. I belive that these were done so that you could narrow down those games that would other wise be difficlult to pick, IE numbers 36-64 in a best games competition. Also many of the catagories were there to pick the best of a given series to represent the series a whole. In addition there is no rule that says they can't pull more than one game voted highly in any one catagory.

Er I feel stupid now it was a commercial by Phillips for their electric razor
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FV42I26tx2s
Last year SNL did a commercial for the Quintippio 15 blade razor.
Then Apple would get sued because some kid drew on it with permanent marker and Apple failed to provide adequate protection against markers.

Holy crap they could buy alot of gold with that much money
The bass player is in fact the Co-founder and CEO of Blizzard.
Are you kidding! I'm I much better tech thanks to 24. Now I can fix any problem by opening up a socket.
