Re:To Spammer, please Harvest these addresses:
My personal favourity is to use either cjbsnow@aol.com or webmaster@alexchiu.com which are the sales and technical addressess for Alex Chiu. The reason I pick on this guy is because in additon to being a certifable crackpot and a con artist, he also a raging spammer and sells bulk e-mail software, though I can't find the link for it right now.
I figure this guy deserves some in return. -

Slashdot is a game
Slashdot is probably my favorite game to play, even with the ads on top. Fortunately, I bring my own product placement with me - Click Here for More Life

It will never work

Re:So, what exactly does that mean, to patent it?

In my country...
In my country there is good uses of technology moneys for the schools students. They very much have little money but then they use it very well and the students benefit much. Our system is explained on the web site at here much better than I could talk to explain it on this slashdot.

Re:Oh man...
There is an open source version of the old text-based Borland IDE. They released it about a year ago and it has had considerable work done on it since then. It will work with borland's compiler and the debugger is almost flawless with newer compilers. You can get it here

Not U Minn again!
The U of Minn. research team is a nut house. They frequently release immature information, such as this, which turns out to be nothing at all. You can see a list of their problematic announcements, along with some opposite opinions on this specific research, at A. Lexchi University in China.

Been there, done that
Actually, what's amazing is not that these news agencies are running the story, but that they're doing it AGAIN. Almost this exact same scam has been done before.

Geez
Alex Chiu must be kicking himself over this one...

Getting it to work forever...
How do you determine if it's really a perpetual motion machine?
Get one of these, sit back, and watch it operate!

zealots
I don't see why everyone is so harsh on microsoft, this is the sort of community thing that a lot of people do. It's just spam e-mail to kill the days, I really doubt that anyone "high-up" organized this effort. I bet the people who did this were even punished for it.

What about my immortality bands!?
Is Alex Chiu's miracle Eternal Life Device going to give me cancer now? I can't believe it! The man is a fraud!
This goes against everything I've ever been taught. I'm beginning to put more and more stock in that time cube thingy every day.... -

Re:Someone has tried it already.
The real trick would be taking multiple streams of this and editing it in with some good commentary.
Here is an article by some people that have already done that. -

Re:Niche Market - nah
Hahaha, then maybe you should look at this. Anyway, I find shopping online to be much more useful than real store shopping if I don't need something right away. I think it will come into the mainstream as people get a little braver about the interweb. You can't argue with better prices and selection forever. And hey, there's always that shopping from your lazy arse thing. People are lazy, so lazy shopping methods can only attract more people.
-
Another thing about that is...
this. As you can see here, there are some things to work out.
