Has anyone looked at optimizing ranking on Booble?

Forget about Yahoo and Microsoft. If I was google I would keep an eye on booble. No way they can compete.

Interestingly, I've noticed that the quality of search results from booble has improved recently - coincidence?

If you're typing goolge then you're probably going to the wrong site. You want Google instead.

Apparently, according to MS lawyers the use of MikeRoweSoft.com was. Again, it matters not what you or I think, the legal experts think so.

I thought so - you didn't do what I asked. I ask you again, please name JUST ONE product or service, which "Microsoft" stands greater-than-zero chances becoming a generic name for. Just name a product, such as "fresh apples are a product that Microsoft may become a generic name for" or a service, such as "helping old ladies cross the street is a service that Microsoft may become a generic name for". As simple as that, just name one, don't jump around pretending that some irrelevant quote are an answer.

First, in this case there is actual "competition", since Booble is a search engine. Second, Booble is a parody and so is somewhat protected. And third, yes, Google is quite "evil", like any monopoly, although not as evil as Microsoft. I use AllTheWeb, since it doesn't filter my search results. And fourth, they are specifically evil for overzealously protecting their trademark, including trying to spot "google" becoming a generic verb (but at least they have some point here, unlike MS, because "google" might actually turn into a generic name for "do an Internet search").

People might consider Booble to be part of Google since Google has sites with names such as Froogle.

But Froogle is precisely why the site is a parody. Google did it first, and Booble is parodying Google's action in creating Froogle. And that Google will dilute their own trademark with Froogle shows that Booble is not the source of the dilution of Google's trademark.

I have a more lengthy response later in this thread where I attack multiple parts of Google's C&D.

Where they might get in trouble is over selling Booble Swag, linked from a page they serve. Maybe for the Sponsored Links as well. I don't know if they're real or not; my stylesheet suppresses them just as it does on Google.

Booble is (was ? ) simply worthless as a pr0n engine.

What, an "adult search engine" that returns exactly 0 matches for the word "bondage" ?

I mean, come ON ! Even altavista picture search does better !
