Re:Let's ask creimer
I spent 18 hours over the weekend to refactor the backend for my static website, fixing problems that I've ignored for years and implementing cover art as background images to allow for overlays. Check out my poetry ebook pre-order with the new pre-order overlay. Woo-hoo!

Re: Value?
So you were 17 when you worked construction at an Air Force Base, while at the same time you went through your health issues?
I was 16 when I got a new bike and lost 70 pounds that summer from riding my bike all over the county. The health issues I had before then disappeared. I started working in construction when I turned 18 and went to college when I was 20. I rode a bike until my mid-30's and then switched to the gym for working out. Too many soccer moms were trying to run me off the road.
Very confused; please clarify.

Re:Creimer threatens to shoot others
So are you claiming that one of the guys in the image is you?
I'm claiming that a reasonable person could conclude that one of the men in the dick pic could be me, as they each bare a passing resemblance to my photo on my author website. Furthermore, the person who has been reposting my photo without authorization (copyright infringement) recently had four user accounts deleted and has the motive to take revenge on me by implying that I'm a homosexual in a dick pic. Hence, revenge porn.
So I'm not sure why you think the FBI has jurisdiction here.
A determination that the FBI needs to make.

Re:AI is not "exploding"
Why do you feel that your photos reflect so badly upon you as a writer, but that your grammar doesn't?
If you want to admire my picture, go to my webpage with the updated 2017 picture — and thanks for the ad revenues.

Re:The movie was bad but...
I thought Battlefield Earth was bad enough. That cured me of wanting to read anything else by him.
When I attended Alien Con last year, there was a L. Ron Hubbard table with his all books, someone dressed up as Psychlo alien, and a huge Styrofoam spaceship. If that wasn't crazy enough, I've overheard people talking about their alien abduction experiences and the government cover up.

Re:So, uhhh
I have not always worked for the government - I am on a 5 year contract right now, but have been in IT for 20 years. I started as a video game tester, tried to move up to white-hat but it wouldn't fit on my head. I've been at places like Google as well. Read up on my complicated history at google:

When you're 47, making 50k, and max out the scale at 350lb - there are no jokes. I don't joke - I'm just trying to survive asshat. -
Re: Well, maybe not "navigate"
After looking at your profile picture, I can guarantee that you would float quite easily.
That picture is four years old. Here's a current pic.
https://www.cdreimer.com/slashdot.html
Even if you're strong for your build, you've got enough "insulation" that you're going to float like a witch.
Muscle is denser than fat. So when I'm in a swimming pool, I'm standing on the bottom of the pool at the five feet deep without floating.

Re:No thanks...
So, eat Granola bars and wear pants that are drastically the wrong size and give you the world's worst muffin top - any other advice on how I can look like a former professional football player?

Re: Obligatory Homer mis-quote
Homer Simpson is actually based on a laser scan of me done many decades ago when I was 5lb heavier. That was before I started I started my diet and workout. Now - think football player. https://www.cdreimer.com/image... And no, the OP was not talking about Homer Simpson. Homer simpson is a cartoon, so he cannot be quoted. Had the mis-quote been attributed to Matt Groening, it would have been Homer Simpson. It was Homer, the poet from Cyprus. BTW, here's some cottage cheese I just had for lunch. Delicious. http://nashaslittlepiggies.wee...

Re:The H1B Sector
Except for creimer our very own resident troll billionaire who earns $55B+ despite being a stupid lazy fat American slob. So you see it's not true there are no tech jobs for Americans. There is one token tech job for one token American and that job is filled by the big fat ass of creimer.

Re: theodp
You know, if you actually tried being good at your job and working hard, you might be able to make more than $25/hr at a real job [...]
With 10 paid federal holidays, 20 PTO (Paid Time Off) days, and an extra month of pay as a Christmas bonus last year, I'm making $30 per hour.
[...] and not have to find ways of scamming $50 a month in advertising revenues.
Asshats like yourself have been driving people to my personal blog (click the Homepage link above my comment), where they can visit my author website, author profiles at Amazon and Smashwords, and social media channels like YouTube and Twitter. For the extra ad revenues and ebook purchases for this month, I thank you. Keep up the good work!

Re: Read more about Y Combinator
Creimer you need to write a book. I might comb your slashdot post history for gems and compile me a book based on your dealings with Silicon Valley, game testing, and being a govt contractor. Would you like to be a VC for it? I know 50k a year isn't a lot in SV but every little bit helps.
Don't bother. I got working Python script to pull my 8,000+ comment history from Slashdot. I should have the script up on GitHub sometime next month. Meanwhile, you can check out my author website or personal blog.

Re: Remember this formula kids...
Is that when you defied physics by eating 1500 calories a day, powerlifting and still weighing 350#?
My powerlifting days were 10+ years ago. My current weight is 350 pounds, my calorie intake is 1,500 per day, and I'm trimming down nicely.
Or writing your self published vanity book?
My published writings in anthologies and ebooks can be found on my author website.
Creimer is a self admitted troll.
I love trolling the trolls on Slashdot.
He can't be relied upon for jack shit, aside from bad writing.
My writing must be good if you're harping on it all the time.

Re:I think someone without a degree wrote that sum
Creimer is too fucking stupid to post AC, but it wouldn't matter, because creimer's troll stories are specific enough that he would be recognizable immediately.
This is why I submit articles to Slashdot as AC because I get crap from asshats like this all the time.
He's not creative enough of an asshole troll to write any variety into his stories.
I don't think you ever read any of my published short stories.

Re: Will There Be More Room?
They distribute tickets to stand in line for autographs now?
That depends on the event. Bigger events won't allow you to stand in line unless you have a ticket for an autograph. Smaller events will allow you to walk up to the person signing autographs to meet and greet for free. I did a write up on my blog for the Alien Con convention I went to last year, where I got the.autographs of Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica/Longmire), Jewel Staite (Firefly), and Marta Kristin (Lost In Space)

Re:I'm morbidly obese...
Usually fewer than one in five men will die before the age of 70, but that jumps to nearly one in three for the moderately obese, and eight in 10 for the morbidly obese.
I'm 47-YO, 5'-11" and 350 pounds (see pic link below). According to BMI and the experts on Slashdot, I'm morbidly obese and should have dropped dead three years ago.
http://www.cdreimer.com/images/cdreimer_350.jpg
You're arguing against a bit of a strawman. No one claims that BMI is a perfect indicator of health for everyone, it's just a decent estimator for people with average body composition. You look to have an unusually high percentage of muscle so BMI doesn't really apply to you.
Why? Because I take care of myself. I eat a 150g carbs/1,500-calorie diet, I walk 20 minutes daily and work out at the gym on weekends.
Are you sure you're calculating that correctly? 1500 per day is extremely low for a woman, just to maintain an average sedentary male physique you're looking at 2350.
I also maintain a positive attitude and don't allow fat shamers to bully me. I'll probably live longer than my hard-drinking, chain-smoking relatives who are dropping like flies these days. Although I haven't been to a doctor in 15 years, I'm in better health today than I ever was before.
You're not obese but you still have a decent amount of body fat, just feeling healthy doesn't mean you don't have undiagnosed health problems. Anyone your age should go once in a while just to ensure there aren't any issues, and if those calorie numbers are accurate there's definitely something weird going on.

Except for one small problem: I don't believe that bullshit.

What other idiocy are you going to post and try to pass off as something intelligent?
I'm 46YO, 5'-10" and 350 pounds. Here's my pic. Enjoy!

Creimer is not kidding about being an ass.
That's asshole, not ass. Big difference.
He admits to being a troll in his post history.
I admitted that I love trolling the trolls. After all, Slashdot exists to keep me amuse at work while I wait for a script to run.
Claims to be #350 or so despite hitting gym and only eating 1500 calories, all kinds of antagonism.
Here's my picture at 350 pounds. Enjoy yourself!

Re: Better idea.
"I'm not some 350-pound butterball."
Yes, you most probably are.
Here's my current picture at 350 pounds. Please note the broad shoulders and narrow waist. That's not the shape of a butterball.
http://www.cdreimer.com/images/cdreimer_350.jpg
The fact that despite all your self-defense you haven't mentioned neither your age nor your height is also revealing.
I'm 5'-10" and 46-years-old. And your point?
[...] quite strange I've not hear about you before.
You must be new around here. This thread got started because some AC made a snide comment about my weight because I've discussed my weight in other posts. Some people are deeply troubled that I'm not ashamed of my weight, I'm willing to talk about it, and I'm unwilling to let other people ruin my life over it.

Re:I doubt it was innocent mistake
It's the internet. You are being the angry "tough guy".
I can be a "tough guy" off the Internet too. Except for the occasional fitness nut, most people aren't that stupid to provoke a person with enough muscle mass to put them in the hospital.
If you don;t want to see fat people on the internet, don't post your picture on it.
You posted a headshot from 2009 (thanks for reminding to change that pic). Here's most recent headshot is from 2013.
http://cdn-www.cdreimer.com/images/cdreimer.jpg
Both pictures are nearly identical in showing my head. What these pictures don't show is my broad shoulders and narrow waist. Even if I completely eliminated my body fat, I doubt my jowls will go ever away.

Not sure if I should take that as a compliment or a complaint. I am a writer after all.
