"Ask & ye SHALL receive"... apk
QUESTION - WHERE'S YOUR LIST OF PUBLISHED WORKS ON YOUR PART TO YOUR NAME/CREDIT in the art & science of computing??
After all - IF you're going to 'talk-the-talk', show us you can 'walk-the-walk', first... & I did ask that of you, so I could judge you as a possible PEER, not just some "armchair QB" attempting to tell myself "how to do it" (lol, especially when I've done that MANY TIMES, myself, from this only PARTIAL list below of times I have):
"My Name is Ozymandias: King of Kings - Look upon my works, ye mighty, & DESPAIR..."

Also, a British PC Mag in 2002 for many utilities I wrote, saw it @ BORDERS BOOKS but didn't buy it... by that point, I had moved onto other areas in this field besides coding only...

The day you've done as much in computing?

Python's WEAK compared to C/C++ & Delphi
Try THIS on for size, since it's ALL about the topic @ hand (I program in LITERALLY around a dozen languages by the by... do you?):
* When an ac trolling nobody like YOU (lol) can manage to show me he's put out a GUI program like that, that has no runtime lib dependencies & folks in the security community are hosting it for you? Get back to us then... talker!
(I used Python & learned it, literally, in about 2-3 days time to help my nephew put in errtrapping, multithreaded design, & some niceties in its "commandline interface" - but, do I *think* it's better or more capable than the languages in my subject-line above? Hell no... lol, no way!)

I suppose it's time to "dispel your notions"!

Here's only 1!
I.E.-> Where you RAN from disproving my points in favor of hosts files for end users gain in security, speed/bandwidth, efficiency, reliability, & even anonymity to some extent (vs. DNSBL's) & more:

Additionally, the day you've done all apk has around computing, or more on your part, such as this partial list of his personal favorites he has posted to trolls such as yourself before:

You're welcome 2 disprove the points here
http://yro.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=2356916&cid=36935730
Good luck... you'll NEED it!
(So, thus - You have a chance to prove yourself, by disproving every point I put down there then, & make me out to be "nothing" then... ok?)
APK
P.S.=> Because right after that? You'll also have to disprove this:

(Which contains the REST of what I do to, above & beyond my last few posts here, to as fully-as-I-know-of-possible, "layered security/defense-in-depth" secure a Windows NT-based Operating System (& I've been doing guides like this since 1997 online, & long before that on IRC also)).
Of course, after that too?
Well - You'll also have to show others here that you've done more in the "art & science" of computing than I have, before I have, & I probably did it while you were STILL IN DIAPERS I strongly wager (& I quit "chasing ink" a decade ago in this field, mind you AND, this is only a small, PARTIAL LIST of my "favs" over time (I can put out a LOT more, easily)):

Did U correct them?? No, I did. Look on the download page? A lot of folks didn't know how to use it... Now, they can!
* You're also avoiding the question I asked you, show us you've done more than I have, & before it, per the lists below in my 'p.s.', ok?
Also - Funny you AVOID your hilarious BLUNDERS on the data in HOSTS files listed here:
---
AC "Scrypt-Kiddie"'s FAIL list on HOSTS files:
http://yro.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=2265388&cid=36604424

And I DOUBT your "Scrypt-Kiddie" script won't process 1.5++ - 2 million assorted out-of-order HOSTS file records records in under 22 seconds to sort, deduplicate, & change the blocking IP address, either... tomhudson tried it, didn't make it (can be CPU dependent though,since it's string-processing!))
QUESTION: Did you FINALLY get it right, after all my help?

P.S.=> The day you've done more than this (only a SMALL set of what I've done in this art & science of computing mind you & some done as a student only, no less) - IS THE DAY YOU CAN EVEN BEGIN TO TRY CHALLENGE ME, period (because you tried on HOSTS files & didn't get the data processing RIGHT, w/out my help!):

Also, a British PC Mag in 2002 for many utilities I wrote, saw it @ BORDERS BOOKS but didn't buy it... by that point, I had moved onto other areas in this field besides coding only...
Being paid for an article that made me money over @ PCPitstop in 2008 for writing up a guide that has people showing NO VIRUSES/SPYWARES & other screwups, via following its point, such as THRONKA sees here -> http://www.xtremepccentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=ee926d913b81bf6d63c3c7372fd2a24c&t=28430&page=3
It's also been myself helping out the folks at the UltraDefrag64 project (a 64-bit defragger for Windows), in showing them code for how to do Process Priority Control @ the GUI usermode/ring 3/rpl 3 level in their program (good one too), & being credited for it by their lead dev & his team... see here -> http://ultradefrag.sourceforge.net/handbook/Credits.html or here http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2993462&group_id=199532&atid=969873
AND lastly: http://g-off.net/software/a-python-repeatable-threadingtimer-class [g-off.net] where I got other programmer's work WORKING RIGHT (in PyThon no less, which I just started learning only 2 week ago no less) by showing them how to use a "Dummy Proxy Function" as I call it, to make a RepeatTimer class (Thread sub-class really) to take PARAMETERIZED FUNCTIONS, ala:
def apkthreadlaunch():
getnortonsafeweb(sAPKFileName = "APK_1_NortonSafeWeb360Extracted.txt".rstrip())a = RepeatTimer(900, apkthreadlaunch) # 900 is 15 minutes... apk
Where it was NOT working for many folks there, before (submitted to the maker of the RepeatTimer class no less, & yes, it WORKS!)

What do I have to say about that much above? I can't say it any better, than this was stated already (from the greatest book of all time, the "tech manual for life" imo):

Is that why MS own mgt. has to admit
I am correct on that much? See here, where the Senior VP of the Windows Client Performance Division (foredecker/Richard Russell) had to admit I am correct on that much in fact:

He has his CSC degree too... do you? Doubt it!
So when YOU have done the likes of that?? Then, you can get back to us, ok??
We'll be waiting (probably until the "12th of never, & when the clock strikes 13" (lol, on a leap year)) in YOUR case, you off-topic "ne'er-do-well" troll!
This?
Ah, I just GOTTA say it, as-per-usual vs. off topic "ne'er-do-well trolls" like yourself: It was just "too, Too, TOO EASY - just '2EZ'".

Oh, on this "note" from you also quoted next below?
Well, when you have done the likes of this VERY partial list only on MY PART, & before I did, to greater acclaim in the art & science of computing?

Yet MORE effete adhominem attacks? Please...
Off topic illogical adhominem attacks don't make YOU "look smart" @ all... period!
Is THAT the "best you've got" boy?? Apparently so! Instead, why not attempt to disprove the points I make here:

You run from them - Perhaps because you can't? LOL, we KNOW you can't!
They are MY points by the by...
Fact is & my init. post has proof of it??
I've been pointing them out since 1997 in fact, & my init. post even evidences it for me with verifiable facts you can see online from security guides & posts I have done in the past from that far back in fact!

Now, in regards to your WEAK/EFFETE adhominem attacks on my intelligence?
Well, you evading disproving my 20 points in the URL above seems to show YOU are the weak one here... lol!

Besides, I'm happy to have solved a lot of folks problems WORLDWIDE, & in PYTHON (only my 2nd week using it here no less) with the multithreaded timer class today, vs. the "NoneType error is not callable" issue in it today, here:
http://g-off.net/software/a-python-repeatable-threadingtimer-class
Simply by using a "Proxy Dummy Launcher function" that takes no parameters, which is what their problem was: passing parameters to functions inside the RepeatTimer class, which was actually a SUBCLASS of Thread that inherits from it, but NOT BUILT TO TAKE PARAMETERIZED FUNCTIONS!
So, To beat it, you have to setup a "dummy proxy function" as I call it!
One that CALLS YOUR FUNCTION THAT TAKES PARAMETERS, but, the dummy proxy function, doesn't!
It works... & allows multithreaded timer usage in Python WITH PARAMETERIZED FUNCTIONS in the RepeatTimer class...
E.G.-> "Dummy Proxy Function" method:
def apkthreadlaunch():
getnortonsafeweb(sAPKFileName = "APK_1_NortonSafeWeb360Extracted.txt".rstrip())a = RepeatTimer(900, apkthreadlaunch) # 900 is 15 minutes... apk
That works, whereas these below, will not!
a = RepeatTimer(900, getnortonsafeweb(sAPKFileName = "APK_1_NortonSafeWeb360Extracted.txt",rstrip()))
NOR WILL THIS (though I think this STYLE is actually GOOD PROGRAMMING myself):
a = RepeatTimer(900, getnortonsafeweb())
THE PARENTHESIS MESS IT UP yielding a "TypeError: âmoduleâ(TM) object is not callable" abend/error...
(& it messed up a lot of folks trying to use this subclass of Thread, albeit in a repeated timer, in that programming module's homepage above (which is a threaded timer class object for PyThon programmers))
This always worked for folks though, calling it with no parameters:
a = RepeatTimer(900, getnortonsafeweb)
NOTE THE LACK OF A PARAMETER INTAKE FOR PASSING PARMS ON THE FUNCTION CALL?
(& that's ok, but makes for less "modular" programming & doesn't allow for parameterized functions (which are great for many things/reasons)).
So - That's how I spend my free time - helping others, in technical issues in networking, & programming too + even FIXING OTHER PROGRAMMERS MISTAKES FOR THEM, as shown above...!
So... how about you? Oh, that's right:
URA TROLL, nothing more... go waste your life some more man... your loss! apk
