Hmmm... seems fine on my system. What compilers are you using? Try the newest gcc release from http://gcc.gnu.org.

I have a mirror of the site here (kept crashing, must have been /.'ed).

I put the source up on my site. Everything looks good, but I haven't been able to get it to compile on my SPARC... anyone have any ideas?

Remember, this story is about UCITA. We are supposed to discuss a new law that has been approved by the Virginia state legislature. A law that is relevant and important for everyone who works with computers, which means almost eveyone living on Planet Earth today. I feel UCITA is far more relevant than any petty squabbles about a bunch of kids who try to find gaps in the system. Let's have each discussion on its relevant forum, please!

Now, to the point ... I volunteer two nights per week at "social center" and (apparently, not by choice) I'm going to be helping lower-income and Spanish-speaking residents with their tax returns. I helped two maids (as cleans-up houses, brings their own cleaning materials, and charges per hour) with Green Cards with their taxes. Both of them made over $60K last year (sixty thousand US dollars, ~40 hours per week @ $30 per hour). It makes my wonder why me and my friends spent 4 to 6 years of hell in school in engineering. If there is a "[technical-skilled worker] labor shortage," then why are maids who barely speak English making more than twice what any of my friends with EE degrees make? H1B workers need to be paid a certain minimum. That's sad, but certainly true. I just had to hire someone who spoke Chinese and Vietnamese. I ended-up having to pay my new hire almost twice(!) as much, because INS said I had to pay her "a significant amount above market average." So, rather than paying someone locally $16K, I'm having to pay a 22 year old girl with zero experience $30K per year. It's ridiculous the way INS protects an immigrant's salary. I'm the US citizen, and they're requiring me to pay an outragious amount of money out of my pocket for the "privilege" of
