Also, from 2008 Davos:
Just how crazy is Al Gore? That was the question that popped, once again, into my brain as I read a January 24 Agence France Press news story out of the Davos meeting of business and political elite. Gore asserted that, “the North Pole ice caps may disappear entirely during summer months within five years”
I was instantly reminded of the story that ran in The New York Times in August 2000 claiming that the Pole was free of ice for the first time in 50 million years. It wasn’t, of course, because people who have actually been to the Arctic quickly noted that, in the summer, some ice actually does melt there. The Times retracted it three weeks later.
This kind of apocalyptic nonsense has been ratcheting upward ever since the new century began and my theory is that lunatics like Al Gore know that they are running out of time when it comes to imposing draconian restrictions on the use of every form of energy known to mankind. This is the purpose of the global warming hoax.

Re:Difference between ruling and Judges comments..
Here is my question, if the Free Software Foundation and the open source guys believe so much in having free software on PCs, why not start up a company that only sells PCs and Laptops with free software installed? Why is it the established vendors problem to solve? Begin by launching a fund raising campaign on Kickstarter, find a hardware supplier on Alibaba, and open a web storefront. It's not that hard...
A href="http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=linux+pc+vendor">Here you go.
Let's try that again. Here you go.

Re:419, my friend.
And according to their site you are incorrect as well. It's not 419 it's "4-1-9" after the Nigerian Penal Code affected by it.
And you, apparently are unaware that dashes (you know, these '-' things) are punctuation that isn't always (actually, in this case, rarely) used.
So, you took my attempt to help someone else just to try (and fail) to insult me? You need to get a life. Really.

Re:All that money...
Office Open XML is not a difficult format to parse.
You unzip the file, regardless of its filename extension or MIME type. Then, based on the extension or type, you have a small set of known folder structures represented in that zip file. Some are optional, and you're probably better off just handling everything, every time it's present.
The most basic one has a single file at the root that enumerates all of the files and their paths within the zip archive and a single folder that contains the document content. Typically, document content is stored in one file per tab or page in the document, but the document content structure allows for tabs and pages to be combined into a single file.
The content files themselves are XML, using the old Office 2003 XML formats, but with the added availability of reference links to relative paths within the zip archive in order to embed images, binary blobs, and other old OLE-style documents. There are a few other minor updates to the schemas, but they're not really anything earth-shattering.
It's basically OLE reimplemented with zip archives and XML structured content. INGDRS. I expect better from a technical community like

Re:How do you
One of the consequences is that men are extremely sensitive to being criticized by women
I defy you to read the responses to this article right here, and tell me with a straight face that she's wrong.
Many men believe women have no worth in the games industry beyond appearance.
Where are the non-sexualized women in the industry? They're certainly not IN the games - where big titted, wasp-waisted, armor-kini wearing waifs are the norm. Nor are they, largely, in the development organizations. Nor are they, largely, in the leadership positions. Nor are they, largely, in the player demographic. Oh wait, I know where all the girls are: the ones with ridiculously good genetics work as booth babes.
But you're right, the game industry clearly values women as something other than masturbatory fodder.
It’s telling that men in the gaming industry, or simply commentators, refuse to listen to the reality of these situations and try to help. They’d rather talk over women and convince themselves of a fictional reality that’s more comforting.
Once again, read the responses to this article, and tell me that she doesn't have a point.

Re:Awesome!
The vast majority of people will not know or remember to check that site out. At least not for a few years until someone shows them the 15th time. And it needs a path to search when submissions start adding up.
But it sort of is redundant if your searching wide enough. For instance, Dr. Adam Osborne requested something to be forgotten. but if I search for George Osborne Islam, the story comes up in third result with the first two being about getting Google to hide it.
So as long as enough details are known about what you are searching, I think the entire forget me thing is defeated before it starts.

Re:Deleted
Speaking of that, my favorite "contrary to public opinion" was the term MGTOW. Men going their own way
This MGTOW motto is the main motto picked up by most mens rights groups. The MGTOW page was deleted multiple times by feminists who said it wasnt notable, even though it was referenced in main stream press and published books and then the numerous websites and groups. But still deleted, over and over and over.
So what did the feminists do? They created page called MGTOW for maximum gross take off weight that is just a REDIRECT to mgtow. The actual term is MTOW in aviation, so why the redirect and fight in the talk page? Politics. This was almost 10 years ago since this happened, and still happens today.
History only goes back to 2009, but this MGTOW war is good example of the feminists of wikipedia fighting mens rights. Lucky now that enough mens rights groups and non profits using the term, almost 600,000 websites returned with a simple google search.
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Talk:MGTOW
Limited history due to many deletions. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Maximum_takeoff_weight&offset=&limit=500&action=historyThere are more wikipedia censoring going on than this one topic, but I'd say this is the perfect example of editors censoring. Also why I think they dont deserve government money with these oppressive and biased editors that seem to be backed by the foundation.
I think my favorite comment by an editor on wikipedia was "we dont have the room for a mens rights page, we cant have a page for everything". Amusing when every episode of very popular shows does.
The more you know!

Re:Ahhh ...
You're either a fool or a liar. I've had funds frozen for months by PayPal with no explanation (eventually released with no apology from them), and I've also disputed recurring PayPal charges stemming from a shit VPS provider who had completely ignored several of my attempts to cancel services. In the latter case, PayPal decided to rule in the shit provider's favor anyhow. I walked away from PayPal permanently after finally getting the last of my money out of that account (again, several months later, and I still never got any of the fraudulent VPS fees refunded), and I will never transact business with them again. In fact, since January of 2012 I've continued to receive an email entitled "First Invoice Overdue Notice" from the shit VPS provider every month. Those emails serve as a nice reminder to encourage folks to avoid PayPal at all costs; people continue to use them out of sheer stupidity.

Let's have some fun. Also remember that luminiferous aether was an idea that was around for a long time as well. Dark matter is a difficult-to-disprove fad, without any real competing ideas. That will not always be the case.

Please understand the isozyme is nothing more or less than a key difference between those addicted to alcohol vs those addicted to other drugs. It indicates one reason that a subject may become addicted to alcohol, and one reason that alcohol addiction differs from other drugs. Therefore it doesn't explain the totality of alcoholism - fix the enzyme and you're still left a drug addict, and involved with drug addiction. See also:

Re:You don't have Cox, do you?
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=cox+data+...
It takes one Google search, and the first result, to find their policies on this shit. Perhaps if you can't be bothered to do that, you shouldn't bother to type up a Slashdot post.
In terms of speeds, of course ti is oversubscribed. That doesn't mean that it'll be slow. Outside of torrent heads who feel the need to download anything they can find, most people use their connection in a bursty fashion, meaning infrequently and for small periods. Hence you can oversubscribe a line and still get good speed.
I'm not sure how much total bandwidth they have per segment, but it is at least 300mbps since they use 8 channel modems. Could be more, the CMTS can have more channels per segment, each modem can just only use 8 at one time.
Regardless, it is enough I've never had speed issues.

Re:except your products are killing children
Deaths versus shootings...are you really that stupid as to not be able to tell the difference? Here's your citation: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=number+of...
You need to actually read your citation. From the top link:
Deaths: From 2005-2010, almost 3,800 people in the U.S. died from unintentional shootings. More than a third of the victims were under 25 years of age.
So, 2005-2010 is six years. 3800 / 6 = 633 (actually it's a bit less than that, the article rounded up; and 2005-2010 was a range of particularly bad years; it's generally lower, and declining). 633 is quite different from 4000. But your claim was even stronger... that those 4000 were all accidentally shot by children. Your citation doesn't provide any numbers on how many of those people were accidentally shot by children, unfortunately. But it's clearly less than 633 per year, and therefore even farther from 4000 per year.
