Re:UF says it all
No, User Friendly never says anything at all. It is totally pointless and a waste of time, webspace, bandwidth and Parkinsonistic spasms from some utterly boring Canadian moron.
Let's hook up this Illiad figure to an electric generator, so that instead of vaguely humanoid shaped blobs, his spasms will produce something useful. -
Fantastic news!
But still, what does it all matter as long as userfriendly.org is still online?

We respectfully ask you to delete all content hosted at userfriendly.org at your earliest convenience.
What's currently hosted there is, by its astonishing amateurism and outright offensive unfunniness, diluting the "User Friendly" concept currently used by parodies of boring and badly drawn web comics based on the incessant repetition of ancient tech support jokes and stereotypical anti-Microsoft zealotry.
These parodies are facing a bleak future, when there are sites like yours that are honestly intended to be "entertaining" by using even more tired clichés and even worse artwork than the parodies. How are parody authors supposed to survive if the objects of parody suddenly start to express the parodied traits even more extremely than the parodies?

Re:Quit wasting your time here
Wow. How absolutely and totally unfunny can you get? Slashdot and the Slashbots are so extremely easy to poke fun at, yet the fark.com morons fail miserably.
Ha ha. Ackbar. It's a trap. Geeks don't get laid. LOLOLOLLOLOL!!!! -
Look to those who use 'Photoshop' as a verb
and modify those images in a way that was never before possible with GIF and JPG.
You've probably never seen a well-done cut-and-paste job. Start at All Your Base Are Belong To Us. Then look at Something Awful's Photoshop Phriday. Then tell me whether or not modifying a photographic image in a convincing manner is "possible with
... JPG". -
Let's hope they don't "Push" into the Robot Market
I can definitely envision a scenario like this: Space Robot Bonanza

Re:Please mod this down...Damn, imagine a Beowolf cluster of cocksucking video games!
And you thought there was no such thing as a cocksucking game...
Battle Raper: Hyper Real Action is a beat-em-up with some deeply unpleasant special moves. The above link should be considered a level 4 biohazard - it's slightly less acceptable than goatse.

Re:Write-in vote...
And Thundra wasn't? For the few that haven't seen it, there are reviews for it besides the Something Awful one. Of course, they're not the only ones that thought so, either.
-
Re:Obviously, this tester never played...Read the diakata review. lol.
-
Re:Obviously, this tester never played...Oh, for you FPS player out there, there's Cranky Steve's haunted whorehouse (also at somethingawful) where the worst maps for your favourite First Person Shooter game are reviewed.
Read the reviews for the close to -50 scoring maps, don't play them. Really. Don't. I'm warning you, you'll hate it. Trust me.

Water Closet
They forgot Water Closet.

I owned one of 'em, and liked it!
It was Donkey Kong for the Intellivision. Yeah, I'm sure it was worse than the other versions, but hey, I didn't know any better. I played the hell out of that thing. Play control was fine enough for me.
As for Action 52, as the story hints at, there is a pretty funny and interesting story that goes along with the game. Here's a link to the Something Awful Rompit Review of Action 52, and go here
for the Gamefaqs.com reviews page for Action 52. I've rarely laughed as hard as I did reading this stuff.
On a side-note, if you are at all into video games, browsing Gamefaqs for the reviews of really bad games can be a laugh riot sometimes. There are a few people who seem to make it their mission to completely eviscerate the worst offenders of the old cartridge console games. Some of the crappy PSX games get some hilarious reviews, too. For when you've got some surfing time, at least. -
How about these?
Here's my list, borrowed from Something Awful: http://www.somethingawful.com/hentai/.
-
Obviously, this tester never played...
50% of the games which have been created for PC
Something Awful has:
Game reviews
and
The ROM Pit
Don't say I didn't warn you.

Re:Copywrite and Copy2pc
Anyone remember copywrite and copyiipc?
Never used those...then again, I used Apple IIs almost exclusively up to '91 or '92. Copy II Plus (same company, but for a different computer) was useful for more than just making backups...it also had lots of file-management tools bundled in. (I just put it back on my IIGS not long ago...some software I scanned in from a magazine only works under DOS 3.3, and Copy II Plus makes copying files between ProDOS and DOS 3.3 disks fairly easy.)
Now if only the RIAA and the rest of the music industry would just learn from the mistakes of the past, they would realize that all their stupid protection mechanisms are just a complete waste of time.
Score: 5, Insightful. Of course, it's worth mentioning that they more than likely don't know about this bit of history. Hillary Rosen, Fritz Hollings, and the rest of them probably barely know how to switch their machines on and use that "Intarweb thingy." What are the odds that they've ever tried copying Lode Runner?

That's bad, but...
Check out some of the terrible gifts people have gotten over the years. It's enough to make a grown man cry.

I feel that since I already pay for the hardware to surf the net, and the expensive connection, I should not be subjected to intrusive advertising. Add that to the fact that some providers will start capping your data and it ammounts to just plain frustrating. Frankly, I dont care if most of the sites cant afford to stay in business without adds. There are too many sites that suck anyway, and too many lazy web masters trying to stay at home and get paid to write rants (see Something Awful). Find another model. (like membership plans, selling Tshirts, bake sales, I dont care) I mean, if you like the site, you'll support it.

Re:Or how about this one...
I imagine the forums goons over at Fark and Something Awful have a lot to do with this particular cliche.

It should be interesting to see what TruthMedia makes of the Second film after their review of the first.

Call my attourney, Leonard "J." Crabs!
Leonard Crabs is *the* man to call. He has gotten me out of all kinds of jams. Here's a few legal situations he got some friends out of. He doesn't take crap from anyone and is quite well versed in these matters. Oh, and use popfile for your spam filtering needs!
