Re:Interesting
Bush, Ashcroft et al are on the right side of this issue? Amazing, especially since Fox News is their ministry of propaganda. I think that in the near future, only historians will know what the public domain even was. Here is a piece I wrote when the Eldred vs. Ashcroft case went the wrong way.

Re:Sigh
The jury is still out on whether El Chupacabra are aliens. They maybe a result of genetic tinkering, or a yet undiscovered species, but those cattle mutilations are El Chupacabra for sure. The worst parts are that El Chupacabra can breed with dogs, and that a Chupa Pup has been on a rampage in New England! Read more, and more, and still more.

Re:FOX NEWS.
I don't know about humor, but for serious news, there is The Uncoveror. The article about the British Parliament's new crest was particularly informative.

Re:Yeah.
More info on snake oil. It is real, and it works!

Re:Unsustainable situation
Blair and the British government are BPs bitches. Case in point, their harassment of grease car drivers.

Re:Here We Go...
Television watching you is what they introduced the V-chip for.

New life on Mars?
New life on Mars? Only if the old life on Mars, the Zhti Ti Kofft decide to tolerate newcomers. They have been very unfriendly, historically.

Fidelity Hosting
I have a consumer advocacy website, dontbuycds.org on Fidelity Hosting. They have never given me any grief about the content of that site. They also have left alone my online tabloid, The Uncoveror. I can't complain about them.

Re:Kasparov Biography
Interesting stuff. Kasparov still think he is playing against computers. He doesn't know that he's been had.

Great idea
So, they are retiring the Ariane-4, which has always worked, and going to the Ariane-5, which is unreliable. Maybe they should just follow NASA's lead and build a giant catapult to launch satellites into space.

Re:where do i buy?
The keyboard layout would be much less confusing if Milton Crane would stop whining about his intellectual property, and let manufacturers mark the "Any" Key.

Re:Duct tape.
Because of that warning, and the whole orange alert, the recession is over for the survival gear industry. It's Y2K all over again for them. I surmise that the Office of Homeland Security isn't talking about Asteroids, because we face a much greater threat from Space Invaders.

Re:On the topic of funny tech jokes...
My favorite tech joke is answering technically illiterate people who ask where the "any key" is. The obviously fake virus warnings that idiots keep forwarding are good for a laugh, too.

Re:Why wasn't it made 7 games?
It's a hoax! Deep Junior was only a prop. He was really playing against Boris Spassky. Deep Blue was also just a prop. It was Bobby Fischer who beat Kasparov. Read More.

Re:You can see how this works...
Who needs faked news when you can have The Real News?

Re:First lame insurance post.
Lawyers and insurance companies have set a bad example that has inspired organized crime to create a whole new racket, Prepaid Illegal Services. Check it out!

Re:No, it should be built on FreeBSD
According to insiders, It indeed will be based on BSD. Check it out!

Re:Who is the public domain? All of us.
I really liked this guys scathing satire of Michael Eisner. He included a picture of Mickey in it. Fair use for sure, but I wonder if they will sue him?

Don't be fooled.
Don't be fooled by the change in logo. The program has not changed. Total Information Awareness is "The Beast." and Bush's soon to be revived National ID plan is "The Mark"

Re:Yes
They knew better than to lauch Rosetta after what happened to Contour. The aliens would just blow it up, too.

Re:Scary AND TRUE
The government could do this to everyone, but tattooing bar codes would be cheaper. The government loves to steal ideas from urban legends.
-
Re:Simple enough...
The answer may be simpler than that. Electrostatic Discharge, or ESD. A simple shock should fry these chips. Wald on a carpet, and touch any suspect item. POP! No RFID chip. Hopefully, "The Beast" will be as easily evaded.

Re:Wtf ?
If the US Military is suffering from a bandwidth crunch, how does the Whitehouse expect the Total Information Awareness network to actually function? Do they still think computers are magic boxes that can do anything?

Re:Looks like "The Trueman Show" nailed it
In addition to product placement, they are starting to use pop-up ads, and digitally inserted signs. Be afraid! Be very afraid! They contain subliminal messages.

Re:Where's HP?
HP is going down because Carly Fiorina is and IBM Mole. Read more.

Re:ACK!
They don't need no stinkin' satelites! They use the V-chip. Not to worry. Tin foil can fix that, too!

Re:Gag.
We don't have qualms about killing plants, and eating them because they aren't warm and fuzzy, or cute, but they in fact do feel pain. Killing plants is cruel, too. You vegans can knock it off with the Church Lady's "I'm Superior" dance now.

Re:Great stufffrom the article... "Although the Touro team developed techniques for growing white and dark chicken muscle in the lab, without a blood supply the chicken meat grew for just two months before it was dead in the dish. Benjaminson is now submitting another NASA proposal to investigate mechanical or electrical methods of stimulating blood vessel growth."
New Dawn Biotech solved this problem. They have meat that grows on trees, and they are about to take it to market. This is the same company that created Chick'N, and is working on F'sH.

Funny that you should mention a catapult. NASA, not the Chinese, plan to try that one.

Michael Eisner just hasn't decided whether to rip off Barney or Dino to design the animatronic reptile.

I wonder if the Video Game Awards will produce anything worthy of inclusion on the Awards Show Awards? Is TV out of ideas or what?

Does Eisner Know?
EA the next Disney? Does Michael Eisner know about this? Will they constantly take from the public domain, without ever giving back to it like Disney does?

The Martians won't allow this
We will never terraform Mars. We will never colonize Mars. It is already inhabited by an advanced underground civilization called the Zhti Ti Kofft, and they are getting tired of us. We better leave Mars alone, or we could be toast!
-
Re:Evil uses
Here is an article about just that!

Re:Intresting stuff
So, DARPA thinks they can develop a way to track us all by sniffing our pheromones. Splashing on bottled pheromones would be more effective at confusing this technology than perfume alone, but there are drawbacks to using bottled pheromones, and it's funny you should mention bloodhounds.

Re:Missed??
Uncoveror.com covered the roborat story, and the slippery slope this leads down, such as the plan to create remote control human drones. While slashdot did not miss this one, a lot of other news outlets did, and this outrage must be stopped! Unethical isn't an adequate word to describe turning living creatures into automatons.

Who does NASA think they are fooling
The Russian Space Agency already told them what happened to CONTOUR. They even have a photo.
-
Re:I suspect...
Any theories on which aliens did this? Was it the ones who destroyed CONTOUR, or perhaps it was the Zhti Ti Kofft.
