Re:Super Rocket?
Perhaps the European Space Agency should forget rockets, and use an X-4000 Launch Aparatus. Those don't explode.
-
Re:Moore's Law
What's with that picture of Zippy the Pinhead to the left of that article.
-
Re:IN SOVIET RUSSIA
No, it's here in the US where television watches YOU, if you have a V-chip.
-
Re:Farscape
Yeah, Gilligan's Planet gave Disney the idea for Treasure Planet. Those are some serious rip-off artists at Disney, like Michael Eisner.

The Uncoverer...
...also has this article that might interest the Slashdot crowd.
-
Re:So...
That article was a somewhat clever example of disinformation, and it could only explain away a few California bigfoot sightings. Fear not The Uncoveror will investigate this. Watch for a more on our website coming soon.

Re:Wha?
Yeah, and the mafia is a legitimate business that employs thousands. Have you signed up for Prepaid Illegal Services?

Re:This Sucks!
We printed an article about just this thing at uncoveror.com. Microsoft sued Andersen and Pella over use of the term, "Windows."

Re:Well....
We have very little to worry about from Asteroids, but we have a great deal to worry about from Space Invaders...
...what's the deal with all these asteroid stories? They are getting old. -
Re:Solution Already Exists: Nuclear Rocket
I don't think we much of a reason to fear Asteroids, but we have plenty of reasons to fear Space Invaders.

Re:Underwear
This stuff may really be a godsend to alien abduction victims. You could make hats out of it, and they wouldn't look silly like the tinfoil variety. It could also work for disabling the V-chip. How soon can I start a business selling this stuff?

Re:What A Mess...
The Saturn V is a much older technology than the shuttle, but the X-4000 Launch Aparatus is medieval. THey will develop it instead of SSTO, which will never happen because it would cost too much.

Re:uh for heaven's sake
But there are atmospheric conditions in outer space. They are mentioned in Ed Wood's Plan 9 From Outer Space, and this article. Check it out!

Re:From the horse's mouth
Scientific Games also does lotteries. Here is how they are rigged. Only the gangsters running the rackets make money from gambling.

Re:Another contractor stole even more
The Air Force and NASA repeatedly get scammed. Check this out...
"In the eighties, the Air Force planned what was basically a giant crossbow to launch disk-shaped payload vehicles carrying satellites. They even considered it as a way to launch the shuttle. A working prototype was built at Area 51, and test launches were responsible for countless UFO sightings. Also, nothing ever got into useful orbit. Some payloads re-entered the atmosphere and burned up. Some landed in the ocean, and some just kept going deep into space." Mr. Kurtz pointed out that the whole thing was based on seized Soviet plans; plans that many felt must be part of an elaborate Kremlin campaign of disinformation and phony intelligence. "To make matters worse, the first bowstring supplier had defrauded the Air Force. The high tech micropolymer ropes they were selling were actually ordinary ones dyed blue! Until they discovered this, the apparatus did not work at all, the ropes would break every time. Even the real ones they finally got only worked once, then were to weak to use again. Read more. -
Re:This has been done forever.
What do we need this for anyway? It has already been reported that digital photographs cannot be faked.

They can grow meat on trees and eggs on bushes, so I guess organs aren't that far off. One potential problem is that plants feel pain, but few vegetarians ever stop to consider that.

Re:ooooohhhhh....sanctions!
So, Ballmer will punish her for doing what she was paid to do? If those red-ass baboons hadn't used a stock photo, they might not have been caught. Has anyone seen a picture of Steve Ballmer? He looks like Zippy the Pinhead. You know, I've never seen the two of them together. Maybe he is Zippy the Pinhead.

Re:Here's Hoping to an end of Political Shilling h
Thank the Lawwward for John Ashcroft! He protects us from those pornographic nekkid statues. Best Attourney General since Meese.

Re:Disney, I'm looking at YOU
Walt Disney took from the public domain, but Michael Eisner poo-poos on the very idea of the public domain. The term "intellectual property" was coined by crooks who want to continue robbing us all. Copyrights and patents are a loan from the public domain, to artists and inventors for a limited time to promote the progress of science and the useful arts, they are not property. Check out this lampoon of Michael Eisner.

Re:Some disappointed scientists
There is a lot of space junk floating around our solar system. Aliens keep destroying our satellites and probes, like CONTOUR.

Re:The fact that...
Mel Carnahan is still a much livelier guy then John Ashcroft, even though he is dead. It a shame the Nazi brownshirt country-clublican mods consider comments like ours troll. Ridiculing politicians who deserve it is part of democracy. If we called George W. "Der Fuhrer" Bush an American Hero, maybe they would mod us up. Anyway, what's with the nickname, Robber Baron?
for the mods who are about to pounce on me, Here's a link. -
Re:Brainy Blondes do exist!
Yes, brainy blondes do exist: natural blondes. It is the bleach blondes who are stupid because bleaching hair causes brain damage.
-
Re:In related news...
What was acclaim thinking? Stores aren't going to carry an XXX game in a country where John Ashcroft has "Lady Justice" clad in a burqa.
-
Re:Still urging...
If John Law has a backdoor, soon anyone will be able to use it. Anybody who doesn't get that probably has a VCR flashing 12:00, and is still looking for their "any" key. Even without them using encryption, the F***ing Bungling Idiots can't catch terrorists. We need to scrap the FBI, and start over.

Re:The Ironic Thing Is...
The trick is to get real tin foil, not aluminum foil. Many people call aluminum foil "tin foil," but they are not the same. Read More.

Re:In other news...
I don't know about the fillings, but TV sets that watch you already exist. It's called the v-chip. There is good news, though. You can disable it.

Re:Very quotable
Yes those guys in the boardroom at Disney just cheered and cheered when Michael Eisner revealed his latest plans.
-
Re:Nah! Not Triffids. Martians!
Yes, it is the Martians, or Zhti Ti Kofft as they call themselves. The fireballs were warning shots. If they really fired the death ray, the oceans would have vaporized, covering the earth with a killing hot steam. Let us be thankful we haven't made them angry enough to really attack.

RSA knows what happened to CONTOUR
Unlike clueless NASA, the Russian Space Agency knows what happened to Contour. I would much rather have them send me to space than NASA if I were going into space.

While a few may be using lasers and other devices to escape the view of surveillance cameras, others are lining up to get in on "The game." It could be 1984 by 2004!

Re:The US attitude on gambling sickens me
Never play the lottery. It is rigged. Horse racing, however, is a much better investment than the stock market. Messing around in the stock market is like betting at those offshore online casinos.

Re:lets hope the RIAA loses their current lawsuit.
Naturally, they want to end free music on the radio, The RIAA wants Pay-for-Play radio. Let's hope lawsuits and trying to buy legislation both fail.

Re:amateur rocketetry is irresponsible
Don't believe that hoax excuse. Martians shot down Mars Climate Orbiter. It's on a news website. They couldn't print it if it wasn't true!

Re:What's next?
Did you know that IBM was behind the disasterous merger of Sperry and Burroughs that formed Unisys? That was just one of many examples of IBMs skullduggery. They also like to place moles in companies to bring them down, such as Carly Fiorina. The few at HP who think buddying up with Microsoft will save them don't know they've already been sold out.

Re:I hope they don't send Britney to Space
If they want to send Britney Spears into space, They should get NASA to use the X-4000 Launch Aparatus. While they are at it, they could send Lance Bass, and the rest of the plastic prefab teenyboppers.
