Batman Begins Trailer Online
meltoast writes "The trailer for the Batman Begins is available on the Warner Brothers website. Also check out the pictures of the new Batmobile on the same site. All I can say is holy big tires, Batman!" The Batmobile design is reminiscent of the one from Dark Knight Returns, but I think I prefer it over the one Adam West used to cruise around in.
....that it is a 'teaser' not a 'trailer' considering they show absolutely nothing but that 'it's coming' in a year...
I'm a little behind on my batman lore. What's with the monster truck batmobile in the pictures section?

At least it appears to have real Actors in the Cast. Can never be disappointed by Morgon Freeman, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, or Gary Oldman.
Looks interesting and at least worthwhile to watch.

At least from what little I could see on the trailer they are returning the movies back to the Dark Crusader model.
The first two movies with Micheal Keaton were pretty good, but Val Kilmer and George Clooney pretty much killed off any interest I had in the movie franchise.
Mix equal parts:
F-1 race car
Military troop carrier
I think it's a neat variation. It's better than the all-too-flashy neon light decorated batmobile in the last movie. That seemed more like a showcar than a "fight the bad guys" vehicle. The Batmobile from the first movie was a well-done machine.
I don't see the justification in jet engines though for the previous vehicles. But with all the torque you would need on the big tires on the new one, perhaps the engine is justified.

Fan movie with a pretty nice story twist. Also, the Joker has never been better on film.

I allways figured Gotham was located in one of the orginal 13 states of the USA. But I can't think of anything that proves it isn't located in a post nuclear apocalyptic Australian.

I belive Gotham City is the comic book version of New York City. In fact NYC used to be called Gotham. On a side note, I believe comic book Metropolis was based on Chicago.

My initial reaction to seeing the new batmobile was "It kinda looks like a Hummer taking a crap."
Christian Bale is actually a very talented actor who excels in playing very complicated characters with serious internal battles. Just look at American Psycho, Empire of the Sun, and (to a lesser extent) Equilibrium. Bruce Wayne's internal struggle between the man and the bat is one in which every movie tried to grapple with but never really succeeded because the action was always top priority. Christopher Nolan, an expert of the psychological, directing this movie gives it the best chance in succeeding in profiling Batman's psyche.
I'm going out to get a Hummer tomorrow.

CowboyNeal is insane. No batmobile can touch the 60's Lincoln Futura Batmobile. Had a supercharged Ford 427, and looked awesome.

I can't tell in the photo because of the angle, but I think this Batmobile looks like it may have a gun rack in the back window, a half-empty pouch of chewing tobacco on the dash, and a bumper sticker that reads something along the lines of "American by birth, Southern by the grace of God". In addition, I'm pretty sure those tires were purchased at Fred's Truk Emporium. You know... the place out by where the old pond used to be before they moved the Super WAL*MART.

You have to keep in mind, Batman built the big-tire version when he was still young, and had a mullet.
In the pre- Kindom Come mythos, Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle did have a daughter, Helena Kyle, AKA Huntress. This was the basis for a show on the WB 2 years ago, Birds of Prey. It was pretty good, but they banked on it being a hit like smallville and canned it after only one season.
