In another 2 years, (I think) that there'll be a better format than both current 'standards' out. It'll be cheaper and have a greater capacity than either of BluRay OR HD DVD. And it'll probably be introduced by the computer manufacturers like Acer or Asus or something.
Many people are taking the wait-and-see approach until there's a clear winner in the HiDef wars, but I believe that there's something better and cheaper coming along soon. It's still in the Lab of course!
"What did the first nano-walker water molecule say to the second nano-walker water molecule who'd just tripped while carrying his load of CO2?"
"Up and ATOM Mister!".
(sorry. been a long day)
Good for him, at least he knows his limits and marketablity. Now for a few Hundred posts on 'how old he is', and 'he'll sprain his back' or more such silliness.
"One USB Ring to rule them all, One USB Ring to find them,
One USB Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them"
Why not make wearable useful jewlery out of these things. Maybe make it in a tough metal or plastic ring? With a closable and sealable mini USB female port. Save your personal ID, contact info, some email (or the portable open office) and some nice pron. Huh? It reminds me of a Larry Niven novel where he mentions a superconducting ring that had a large computer spinning around in it. Or it may have been someone else, I forgot!,
Mine would need to be inscribed (in fiery letters):
Ash usb nazg durbatulûk, ash usb nazg gimbatul,
ash usb nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.
Shaddap all you nay-sayers and just LOOK at the images. They are a wonderful Christsmas gift, and make a damn good windoz wallpaper. *inux geeks too can rejoice as well.
Merry Christmas!
Off topic a bit, I know - But where can I learn to program? Which language is good to begin with? (a year of BASIC in High school, early '80's is all I have ever done!!!)
I've been flying small model rockets (OK, Estes stuff!) for a while now. Does anyone know what amounts of silver iodide, crystal size, etc that are needed to seed a cloud? I figure on putting some into the top tube (instead of a parachute) and launching at the nearest cloud!
Ok, so it's stupid. Shaddap! I can dream can't I?
OK, I have both a PC and an Xbox, both similiar in configuration (PIII 733, Nvidia video chipset, Creative surround, etc etc. Except for the 512 Ram that is) I went to www.gentoo.org and downloaded and burned their Unreal Tournament 2003 Linux bootable demo. It was almost as easy as turning on the damn Xbox, 'cept I had to run pci-config (for sound) and x-setup to start the interface. Almost.
I am a self admitted Linux idiot, don't know a bash from a mnt - but I am learning.
I think that a self booting game is a great idea (sadly, windows XP runs the demo better - for now)
Well, no matter how bad Windows security is, no matter how secret it's source code - the games available on the win32 platform make it all worthwhile.
btw, any ideas on an open source textbook archive? distributed on palm-like devices for schoolkids?
yes I am a hypocrite.
Forget Scsi! The idea is smaller cabes that are less prone to block airflow! Cooling is where it's at. Anyone who's built a computer will see why this makes sense I tell ya

Great idea here. Kudos to the Scientists. BTW, if there are any Microbiologists out there, see if you can get the nitrogen fixing bacteria Rhizobium (found in root nodules of clover, peanuts, etc), to work on corn, wheat or even rice roots. The result would be self fertilizing plants. (Fertilizer as in for theroots, not as in flowers).
I've never seen 'fuck' in the Bible. I've read a lot about how the Lord forgives all and loves us all though. Even those who espouse the use of the word 'fuck'. A bad work is only a bad word when the speaker has intent behind it. Isn't this obvious?

From sombody who may need neurosurgery in the near future, I HOPE this works!
In the Future, Goggle owns YOU!
My Windows is safe. I leave the computer off, unplugged from power and Internet. And wrapped in tinfoil. Lets see a worm try to get in!

Thru = Through Please don't discard proper spelling unless in an online chat. (Where 'ppl' as an abbreviation would be used for 'people').
If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. No, squeeze out the acid and fling it into the eyes of the Man. Speilberg has lost it BTW.
And what's the big surprise about this one?
