then witness how long Windows takes to alt-tab between Winamp and Firefox, or whatever.
On my system, instantly. With several explorer windows, Team Foundation server, skype, Thunderbird, Media player classic, 200MB of my company's product, Outlook and god knows what else running.
And if that happens then the console will need to cost near double the current launch prices on launch because people won't take losses on consoles if they don't control the games.
Well that's a new low. If we're making stories out of what one blogger believes then we also need to announce that Linux is dead, AmigaOS is both dead and alive and that capri pants are back in fashion.
It's not that he's more productive. It's just that the OS does very little so there's nothing distracting him (ignoring his insane FUD about swapping and virus checkers. I never notice windows swap and my virus checker runs silently at 4am).
All he's saying is that he (like most writers) are continually distracted by "OOH SHINEY" and have no self-disicipline to get anything done.
That doesn't make OS4 useful for normal people, in fact it makes it less useful. And as for the boot up time, well BeOS did that a decade ago and in fact was a very similar OS overall (except even it had 3d drivers).
Given that piracy is so rife in that area that they're going to sell 3 games, and the system relies on selling games to make a measureable profit, why bother to launch at all?
Especially as it seems they need to go through a lot of very expensive hassle to do so.
I left the industry (The UK arm of a leading Video Rental chain) about this time last year. At that time we'd had 3 straight years of double digit falls on average revenue. Their current offers suggest to me it's not getting any better.
Ridge Racer 6 on 360 (or it's almost identical but uglier cousin RR7 on PS3) would be ideal, the entire world tour is a "map" of races. You could attempt and complete 1 at a time in about 10 mins (assuming you pass) and make "Some progress".
Amped 3 on 360 is another one where you can pick and choose your challenges for the hour you want to play.
Tomb Raider Legend is a short (but also cheap) game but your hour will allow you to complete most of the levels and you can save if you fail, either way you've made some progress.
Actually if your body has a tolerence for that stuff, usually because of regular drinking. Coffee and Tea are just as effective as water in rehydrating.
Well I don't know about the US but that price and contract won't fly in the UK where (for instance) a Nokia N95 (Apparently near eqivilent to the ipone in price), is not only cheaper than the US price of an N95 (that never happens with normal goods) but is on a 12month contract with 6 months half price rather than Cingular's "Please bend over for 2 years" offering.
So it'll be interesting to see what they do here. It's going to need at minimum a price cut and 3G to even register.
I don't know the full situation but the letter appears to read between the lines as.
"We've given him enough money, why should he care it's not what we agreed to give him."
I wonder how he'd react if, next time new line bring out a film we all pay $2 at the cinema because "We've given them enough money, why should they care it's not the agreed price to see the film".
I hear Gap has a sale on.

Memory is cheap. Buy some.
He's actually only been really learning english the last few years so maybe he's continued to make progress with that.

And no-one wants that.

We live on a farm. It got bloody crowded.
I think we had your dog. He's dead now, sorry.
Er... No he does mean 3G. One in the back for actual photos, one in the front for video calls. All true 3G phones have that setup.
Sony absolutely sold the PS2 at a loss, at least initially.
But yes, it's difficult to predit right now. Especially as, much like Sony, they appear to not give a shit about Europe.
Seriously though.

Big companies pay a %, not $2.
Hell, it's not $2 for ANYONE.
I doubt it'll work on a C64 either.
Sometimes you just have to accept that the cool new thing MIGHT just need technology from this decade.

I presume you've never brought a CD, DVD or anything back from a trip abroad then.
The UK one banning the right to use small personal FM transmitters to run your ipod in the car.
That was repealed.
The difference is that ipod is a virtual monopoly.
.doc.
The problem is more that apple won't LET other people make devices that do it.
It'd be like MS suing anyone who allows a program to open
[Insert King Kong jokes here]

Oh absolutely.
But that neatly proves the point that the sales of PS3 were and aren't simply "What they can make", which is certainly still the case with the wii.,

I would and I'll do it for $200k, which is a lot less than most CEOs
Or indeed Babylon 5 which had a couple of long ter major wars.
The lack of success of its spin offs though maybe indeed support the major point of your post.
I'm looking at my 6630 too and wondering what this front camera is doing on it.
