I used to think similarly. Until on a Saturday afternoon while browsing through FB I saw the news post about the European Blizzcon Invitational. I made the jump and a couple of minutes later there I was watching a SC2 match being broadcast live on the internet with two "expert players" narrating the game. While it wasn't the same as watching your favorite "real sports" team playing a final, it was pretty entertaining. I event went back the next Sunday to try to catch the finals...
SC2 was pretty much designed for being an e-sport game and the matches are entertaining to watch. They don't last long (usually around 15min?), are full of action and you can see the player's skill, mistakes, developing strategy, etc.
It is still going to take a while for these to become a real threat to watching "real" sports in bar just because most of the population don't understand what's going on in a SC2 game, but give it some time and Barcrafts are for sure going to become popular.
Not using on one of their websites != Dropping support.
Yes, it is an indication that the future for Silverlight technology doesn't look so bright, but that is the current reality of the IT industry. Technologies are changing very fast and what seems a safe bet today might be a total miss tomorrow. For once we should stop bashing MS with whatever (madeup) argument we have and actually see that they are changing: MS is now able to move faster than it used to be. Although they still might not be as agile as the market requires, they are not as "monolithic" as in the past.
Instead of telling people how busy my inbox is, why not give them full access? This way maybe they will see how busy I am and may even help me by responding some of those annoying emails from David Thorne...
Also, for interviews in general, I'd recommend the SMART approach: describe a Situation in terms of Tasks you had, the Actions you took and the Results achieved. HR people like this approach and it helps you in describing your capabilities better than simply saying "I'm good at solving problems".
And you also argument as if one single type is going to be the ultimate source, when it's clear that the best option is a combination of several sources of energy, having renewables as primary.
Well, I would consider the hospital analogy incorrect.
IMO, WikiLeaks is doing something more on the lines of "releasing evidence that your father died of side effects caused by some medicine than by the heart attack you were told".
My screen is 1280 pixels wide, there's no reason I need to see text that would fit in one line split into three. Don't add line breaks inside a paragraph on your comments, please.
Well, you don't actually need to connect video sources. You can use a USB Stick attached to the TV, specially if it is one of those TV's used in showrooms and company entrance halls that just show a video on loop.
Already did:

Quote I saw last week:
"Why is it that when someone has an imaginary friend it's called insanity, but when millions have the same imaginary friend it's called religion?"
That's because there's too many lawyers in the US. If there were less they wouldn't have time to spend with these BS lawsuits.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)
1 United States 14,660,000
2 People's Republic of China 10,090,000
3 Japan 4,310,000
Pretty much the two next countries already match US' economy. Even if you go by nominal instead of PPP it still is half of what you said.
The US was days away from default. The other countries that have AAA were not. The US was more likely to default, so they deserve the downgrading.
I wouldn't say the Republican Party is the problem. The problem is the people who give them power and elect representatives from that party.

TSA might as well put these "electronic devices" on the list of things not allowed to be carried on...
I'd propose v2 for this system:

That makes a lot more sense. I got the acronym wrong. Thanks!

Parents, DO worry about drug use!
99% of the population either can't control drug use (so it becomes abuse) or are in a stage where they think they can control it.

I believe that if he had explained why he thinks both movies suck he would not be modded as Troll.
Avatar sucked. And so did the Titanic.
As this stands, it is neither Informative, Insightful or Interesting. For obvious reasons it is not Funny, so it is a Troll.
Actually, the phishing exists because the user HAS to check the address and fails at doing so. If we skip that step, it becomes safer.
Or do you really believe they would develop something less secure?
Yes, it is being used to make sure that the Sun remains in power over our lives.
Soon we will remember that...
I've installed an Ubuntu 9.04 Server recently and it didn't include the headers by default (neither the source).
I'm pretty sure it's also the case for 9.10.
Can you think of Internet without using Google's Services?

If it kills her at age 50, but keeps her alive until then, it's hard to complain.
But what if it kills her at age 50 but DOESN'T keep her alive until then?
Yes, the anger veins.
