    us$ in australia fluctuates daily - last year it was hovering around 60>70 cents aus - now it's $1.08. so as a 'standard' it's now more than useless....

    when i was employing people (some 10>15 years ago), the main criteria was experience, references, and finally a degree. most employers DON'T want to spend time / money training you or updating your theoretical degree learning to real world practicality. a good reference from a reputable employer is worth a great deal more than a 'general' degree - especially so in 'niche' it....

    sign me up, though at 60+ i'm probably too old. it would be great to escape the madness that's earth; from the wars, the religions, the greed, the inequality, the indifference, etc. so you die in space, alone. not a lot of difference to what happens here on earth.
