I use retail because it was cheaper that way. Wy brother and I both wanted it. We got the Half Life collecters pack or whatever. He downloaded the mod, I installed retail.
You may get some benifit if your DSL is anything like mine. In my case, I only pay for 768K, but my ISP supports 1.5M. There were times when I was using Gozilla (it's been a while) that the meter would start at 1.5M and then slowly average it's way down. Ocasionaly, if I set the refresh high enough, I could even see the bandwidth alternating between above 768K and 0K. So in conlcusion, if you only download a small file (80KB in your case), it will come faster.
It's probobly more likly that he will kill you. Only in those las few seconds before he plows into you will you be close enough to see what had his attention.
Not exacly selling, but when they launched Windows ME, every one that atended the training meeting had a chance to win a cusom Selene Mustang. It was light blue and had the Windows ME logo sewn into the seats.
I was reading this and I realized it was a pretty good description of myself. Although, after giving it some thought, also came the realization that there is another justification to running linux. Cost. The only reason I could aford to run Windows XP was that I got it for free at one of MS's retail training meetings. I will not always be working retail and will eventualy stop geting the freebies. When that happens, will I want to pay whatever price microsoft wants to charge for what will then be the moderen operating system and Office? I would much rather rive my money to a Linux distributen for a complete software package. Or maybe even save my money and download a free one. With this in mind, the sooner I learn my way around linux, the better.
Yes! now I can play SimCity again! I was trying to install my win 3.1 verson of it the other day, but never got it running. Tried Wine, WinXP, and Win2k. But now I can play it any where on my palm.
No, it's from football (aka soccer). Three goals in a game.

The fact that they are different products is the reason why it is not trademark infrengment. Yes, they are both related to computers, but they do two entirely different things.
I prefer to get the whole thing. Just seems nice to have it in my archive so I could still install it in the future if I ever had a need to. I'm not sure why, but I feels safer that way.
Yeah, and then there was the Yahoo group about it. but it 'dissapeared' around 2:43pm on friday (that is the time I on the last e-mail). I tried to go to the site that evening, and was greeted with a mesage that the group didn't exist. I went to my group membership page, and the Black friday group wasn't there any more. Yahoo could have at least given us some sort of explanation.
that's why I put stealing in quotes. while it is not a very good description, it is unforunatly the closest we have. Maybe we need to make up a new word to describe this.
Getting HBO without paying is "stealing" Running a different binary should get you kicked. Having the mod chip doesn't nessisarly mean you are getting something you didn't pay for, and it doesn't mean you are cheating. It only means you want to run some other software ie: linux.
From what I hear Microsoft R&D has worked on some neat stuff. Unfortunatly, the only thing I can think of at the moment is Clippy, or the baysian lojic behind him. But that isn't a good example. The stuff the R&D department did was horibly bastardized when it got turned into a real product.
if your scribbles are in words, or parts thereof (shorthand), then it can recognise the characters and convert it to text. then you could run a small script to convert the short hand to real words
I beleive what you are seeing is the IIS anti slashdot feature. When used properly, a server can handle many times the number of requests it normaly would by simply limmiting the number of people it will serve the page to at any point in time. be happy it didn't die compleatly, that is better than most servers we hit.:)

Yes, it is true that the graphics are wonderfull, but the plot sucks and the physics are a little off.
