No back light, no cradle, and 2MB memmory. My IIIxe from 3 years ago is much better. And when they were all 3-5 hundred, they were the best thing on the market.
Actualy, the problem is that palm is trying to compete with Pocket PC when they should really concentrate on compeating with the $30 Casio. &200- $300 for a palm these days is rediculus, but $100 for a super organizer would sell wonderfully.
Agreed, but I suppose you can say pretty much the same thing for WarCraft, WarCraft2, StartCraft, WarCraft3,... Sure, Blizzard made some pretty big changes, but face it, isn't the interface the same? Don't all four games have a catapult device?
Warcraft 2 added boats and a third resource to harvest. Starcraft had three very different races. Warcraft 3 with its unit cap at 90 and the heros requires a very different strategy.
No no no, It was The Legend of Zelda. Just look at the charts in the old Nintendo Power magazines. Zelda was always in the top 5. Even years after release. Metroid was a close second though:)
It has been my experiance that most mauals are set up so that you have to go out of your way to get to reverse or have a gate bloking reverse. In my car, I cannot go strait from 5th to reverse, but if I go to nuetral then I can get to reverse. Even if you do get to reverse, ss another poster that was crazy enough to try it said, it shouldn't do too much damage. here is a link to the How Stuff Works article on manual transmissions. When you move the shifter, you are not really connecting gears.
Are you telling me you are happily paying the Satalite company 5 extra bucks a month to use the chanel guide that is already avaliable over the satalite? Oh, and how is the service in thunderstorms or other rainy conditions?
Yes that would be fairly reasonable if they sold the cars for half the price they sell for now. Your analogy is bad. Car makers don't sell cars at or below cost.
It isn't so much that they collect viewing datta. What bugs me is when they collect data that can be traced back to me. I could care less if my watching a show incremented a counter, but as soon as they as they stick my name or account number into the database, I get a bit worried.
Doom 3. I saw the Doom 3 Theater demo at Quake Con. This game will kill my GeForce 2. And if I am going to upgrade, why not get the best, like I did with this one, and not have to upgrade again any time soon.
Early owners? I recently tried out an AIW 7500 and I don't know about the drivers, but the software that came with it was horible. I even went to their download page and got the latest versions of all of their sofware and it still gave me many problems.
I compleatly agree. There are many times that people have asked me about something I should remember and I draw a complete blank. Then, as they are trying refresh my memory, or word the question a little different, something just clicks and I can remember every thing. I offen use the card catalog analogy. Most books are referenced 3 or 4 different ways. My mind sometimes only uses one reference, and without that bit of information with witch to look, the data is lost.
oops It seems I was mistaken. although that leads me to ask another question. If my drives read and write so fast (as you pointed out, and I demonstrated for myself), why do I only get 60Mbps over my switched full duplex 100Mb network? This is actualy where I got got the 60 Mbps number. I kind of figured I was being limited by drive read / write speeds if I wasn't maxing out the network.
At that speed drives will be capable of writing data at 176 megabits per second
Maybe things will change in a year, but my hardrive only reads at about 60 Mbps. That isn't even half the speed this drive is suposed to be able to write at. The only way I can see this working is if you have the memory to buffer 3GB before you start writing.
Copy does imply creating another instance of something to be used. Back up implies makeing another instance and storing it away somewhere in case something goes wrong with the original. This program is intended to be used to make backups of DVDs. When you want to save the contents of you computer on a tape, do you use a tape copy program or a tape backup program?

I chuckled when I saw the title, but my amusement was replaced by confusion when I saw the price. How can they charge $103 for a 112 page book?
you may see 100+ magazines. I see 100+ ad collections that they actualy want me to pay to read. You know there is something wrong with a magazine when you get to the end of an article and realize it was a multipage ad. It's even worse when said ad was more interesting than the real articles.
The store I work for has had a simmilar policy for as long as I have worked there (4 years). If it is opened, it is yours. We will exchange it for the exact same product if there was a problem with the media, but other than that you are SOL with us. On the plus side, most software companies know that these policies exist and have a system in place to rive refunds.
ICQ: hmmm I used to use that. It was pretty good, then it got bought buy AOL and Ads started poping up. Then more ads, and so on.
Winamp: I still use it, but I use the latest in the 2.x line. The 3.x took away the ability to separate the volume control from the wav volume. This is one of the major reasons I use winamp.
Mozilla: The one thing they haven't messed up yet. I guess 1 out of 3 isn't too bad...
How about this. Any thing that is obviously porn (this will get most of it) goes into.porn. If there is question, let them decide where to be. Then all you need it the simple rule that only.porn sites can link to.porn sites. This will work because of all of the advirtisements. If you say you arn't porn and want to be a.com, then you can't advirtize for porn sites thus cutting out a large chunk of revinue.
I didn't read the article, but this could apply in the future. What if this got integrated into most CD software. You previously gave it access to get CDDB information and now you bought one of these CD's. None of the firewall software would do anything because it is a repeat program. It would mean that there was one more program that you would have to set to prompt you every single time instead of just aproving it.
Go here and download Tweak UI. One of the many options in there is turning auto run off for individual drive letters. Unfortunatly, this also turns off auto updating, so it won't recognize changing the CD.

Easy, you just have the second Death Star turn into a big vacume cleaner and suck it all up. Oh, wrong movie.

I can't remember what it was, but I'm pretty sure I got at least one 300. The list of rules that applid was a page and a half long.
Actualy, I have seen it for $40.

Try Ultimate Zip It is free, looks and acts like winzip, and opens just about any type of compression including RAR and ACE.
