Man moderators are on crack today. Look did you read the article?
He starts off saying both virtual and normal QWERTY are bad. No examples, no proof, nothing. BUT yet then in another part states why the iPhone screen is so much better giving specific pixel info.
So how come he doesn't go into detail then about the pros and cons on the keyboard? Why spend so much detail in one section (display) but not really any details at all about the input?
His rules that he created are biased. You can;t use the devices then create the rules. He should have gone out and asked people what they expected, used that for the rules then compare. He made the rules when he already knew the answer. That has 0 value.
Why didn't he put other browsers on the smart phones that accept them and give feedback on those? If he was going to go on what is the default fine, but since he gave so much detail on the screen size why didnt he say things in the browser review about 3rd party options may solve the issues.
He does all the real details on the thing the iPhone is very strong on (display) and doesn;t put the same detail to his other rules. Something does not add up.
Isn't creating a benchmark (screen size) completely BS for this "test". Hmm my benchmark #5 is it must be made by Apple. Oh look the iPhone passes. No shit. Rigging an experiment usually gives you the answer you want.
The rest of it seemed very biased. Wonder if Apple was paying him. lol.
Disclaimer: I have only used one of the phones in this crap of a "review". It was the iPhone. After 45 mins I gave up because I could not type on the keyboard without making a lot of mistakes. And before I get flamed it does not mean the iPhone is bad it means for me it doesn't work.
the DS and PSP?
While they aren't consoles, they are still part of the video game market. And considering hwo the DS has creamed a lot of the consoles you would think they would want that info.
"A little quiver when I hit a boundary or bump when I am over an active area would be great."
Hmmm ya I want my mouse to quiver too when I go over certain bumps. Hmm and those active areas, maybe I could get some audio and visual feedback too. Porn at a new level...lol
Wow the more you type the more I know you are 100% Ps3 fan boy.
Please quote from my post where I said the 360 was the greatest, everything else sucks, etc. etc. Cause I also have a DS, game cube and PC that I play games on too. Heck in past posts I have admitted to being 100% wrong on the design issues and posting MS should replace ALL the consoles that have the defect (which I think is all of them).
But let me turn this around: are you so much of a fan boy that you think that if someone makes fun of a PS3 GAME they must be insulting the system? Because I make fun of any hyped game that fails miserably.
So how does one prove this? If I call and say my XYZ disc is scratched because of the 360 how can I prove it was the machine scratching it from normal use vs. the machine being moved when running vs. the guy scratching it himself?
I mean if every game he puts in scratches then ya very easy to prove and he deserves to win (however not the 5 million that's insane, get some new free discs and money to cover court costs). However if it's random or just once because maybe the DVD media was manufactured wrong or whatever other reason how would you go about proving it?
How are you today? Hope life is well in troll land. Considering the review said unremarkable boss fight, generic shooter, etc. it doesn't give one much hope at this point. Ya wow graphics....but the game play (from the article) sounds not so exciting.
Now how else are you a troll? Brining Halo 3 up when it wasn't even in the article and you assume because I make fun of a video game that I must be some sort of anti sony and pro 360 fan boy of the most extreme variety.
I have a 360, and am not getting Halo 3 and have 0 interest in it (go back to my previous post of my experience with the H3 beta). So let me give you some advice when somebody makes fun you should take it with a grain of salt. It's a game ok Mr. Troll? It's a game you should really learn to relax over them.
Considering that most Americans are in debt, have multiple credit cards, have negative savings I don't think spending $600 they don't have will be an issue at all (or for that matter $3000 to get a HDTV, ps3, receiver, etc).
I'll be the first to say I under estimated the xbox 360 failure rate and will go eat some crow during lunch. When I am wrong I am wrong.
So I wonder how MS will fix this? Yes they will fix the design flaw but I think their only next move is too replace all the 360s out there. Upgrade each unit by the next step up (core users gets premium , premium users get elite, and elite get a free game + a fixed unit).
I am also curious to know if this move will bring a class action lawsuit against MS (I'm guessing yes) and if those with one can simply say I am returning this for full refund even if its 1 year later because it's a known design issue. Could I call up my credit card company and say the product I was sold was a lemon I want to reverse charges to *Insert where bought here*, etc.
Now the Nooch article is just a troll. Why would anyone want the 360. Games buddy. Seriously he points to the ps3 as much better but doesn't offer a bench mark to compare them. Based on games alone (right now) the 360 wins. Want a built in blu ray then the ps3 wins.
Either way MS is in some crap for this one. My 360 has not given me one issue yet this pisses me off.
why is there an article about patches anymore? Everything gets patched... Windows / Linux / OS X / a few hundred thousand applications that run on them.
Slashdot all the news about iPhone and patches that you have ever dreamed of....
I don't think the issue can be resolved. Either you have patents or you don't. If you do then stupid patents will ALWAYS get through you can't stop it. Some articles say throw man power at it but considering places like the NIH are losing massive amounts of money (and heck they only look for cures to devastating diseases) because of the war, I hardly doubt the patent office will magically prove 100x more important and get all this extra cash.
Also define good/bad/obvious/etc. They are all subjective so what may be good for some is bad to others. Maybe we should what happens if patents can be ignored for a few years and see the outcome on society as whole.
Where is the article that does the in-indepth coverage of:
1. First iPhone user looking at porn
2. First iPhone user sitting on toilet and surfing web
3. First iPhone user to get laid because of it (those with significant others don't count).
4. First person to have an orgasm just by touching it (it being the iPhone you sicko)
There needs to be a law that makes game companies put right on the back on their box in bold print at size 12pt if the game has in game advertising. If a game has in game advertising I won't buy it unless it makes sense (as in billboards when driving vs. the sky being turned into one big brand image).
They are about 26 different stains of HIV. Article didn't mention it but I am curious if each strain might require a different technique or if this is strain independent? Either way pretty cool stuff.

to the amount of money lost in the real world because people aren't educated or fail to take precautions or fall for scams...etc
the DS and PSP? While they aren't consoles, they are still part of the video game market. And considering hwo the DS has creamed a lot of the consoles you would think they would want that info.
GTA IV....Mass Effect...Ace Combat...you did some to leave off some big ones
I would cut the xbox 360 (all versions) by $50 and say this is a permanent move. Would put sony on the defensive.

Didn't Sony state at a press conference long time ago that rumble was "old technology" and who would want it?
Writing a root kit isn't illegal though. In fact I can't think of one piece of software that is illegal. It's how you use it that makes it illegal.
Using a gun in self defense is legal. Using a gun to murder someone is illegal. Creating the gun is legal.

"We saw a fight with a mini-boss that was relatively unremarkable,"
Ya not a good first impression
Considering how badly the consumer has been screwed this console war I'm glad to see some things which benefit us finally.
I agree. Make the fines VERY high and you will get your point across. Let's save the jail for the ones that really need to be removed from society.
Could you imagine a 10k fine + plus court costs + a record. Ouch

Ya but too bad it is not for the good of the customer.

I was afraid we wouldn't see a single iPhone advertisement...I mean article today...my fears have been relived...
0 for 26 not bad then. I need to stick with readings more my level: Curious George or on a good day Dr. Seuss
